I feel like the people who called out this post's lack of research weren't strong enough to provide bigger evidence, so allow me to queeze all the lemon drops on one wound for ya
- Sockrteez is not a trustworthy YouTuber when it comes to looking for certain meta strategies. You can argue that his content is very entertaining which is understandable (even though I personally find them to be boring) but how he teaches new players to get better in the game is mind-bogglingly incomprehensible. If you want to find YouTubers that talk about meta and
, examples like Terrasteel, Kepples, and Sorbet Cafe have you covered on that front. It doesn't matter if they aren't as popular because they're far superior to Sockrteez in literally every way.
- The Terra Blade has zero intentions of being an endgame weapon, let alone being close to the Zenith's strength. The only reason why it's named and sprited like that is because Terraria as a whole needed a weapon that represents both its visuals and its lore (or whatever other specific criteria is better suggested). If Minecraft has the Diamond Sword and Team Fortress 2 has Heavy's Stock Minigun (a.k.a. Sasha), Terraria has the Terra Blade. Basically, it is to resemble an icon of a game.
- Anyone who claims that the Terra Blade is outclassed by the Flying Dragon, I'm just going to assume they don't know how gearing up works. In fact, the Terra Blade still beats the Flying Dragon through consistency. While the Flying Dragon has higher damage and has the ability to pierce through solid objects, it being slower in both firing speed and projectile speed and the fact that the projectiles are smaller can be pretty painful to manage. The Terra Blade will get the job done just as much with far more versatility. Now, here's the thing: the Flying Dragon doesn't scale with melee speed while the Terra Blade does. If you don't know how it works, here's a guide I made on the weapon about it. Even if you couldn't trust me still, once again, Kepples made testing about how the Terra Blade beats the Flying Dragon in almost all purposes (go to timestamp 27:23).
I can go on and on and on, but at this point, I'm beating a dead horse. But basically, the Terra Blade is NOT underpowered. If any, it's the complete opposite. You just need to shuffle the deck more to get the most out of it.
