Terraria Bad Ideas

You can give town pets treats. Dogs get bones, cats get fish, rabbits get pumpkins, etc.

if you give them enough treats they eventually will poop out a random item. Maybe a block of dirt, maybe lava, maybe a zenith. Who knows?

You can also give town dog a voodoo doll as a chew toy
 
NPCs will randomly approach you and lock you into small talk conversations for a few minutes. You cannot leave them and have to respond through quicktime events, Making them unhappy/raising their prices if you fail them. They will also go out of their way walking across the entire world to find you to engage in them. Good luck dealing with them!

And they do that more during boss fights and events.
 
Fart in a balloon + fog machine = fart fogger.

This item produces brown fog and the more you put down there is a chance of creating a fart mini-biome. Background would be the campfire scene from blazing saddles.

Hear me out: Arms are an accessory as well but in wooden chests on the surface. You cannot us your arms for anything. (swinging, throwing, opening chests, etc.)

Let's add to this. Eyes are also an accessory. You can't see without them. Dropped from Eye of Cthulhu. You can also use golem eye.

You can also place each of these accessories into the incorrect slot for... unusual effects.
Eyes for legs, brains for arms, legs for brains, arms for eyes, as one example combo.
 
money must now be crafted by each respectable ore, and have little to no real value unless run through a "counterfeit detector" sold by the merchant, in which 5 out of every 100 coins will be accepted and turned into "true" coins. (true coins hold their original value)
