Oh dammit lol. Sorry, the person that owns this thread is not active much lately because of school and he's very stressed, therefore we can't alter the thread until he comes back. We don't need a creative person anymore as we have about 3 of those, but what we do need is: AI coder, musician, and another experienced spriter. Unless you're one of those, GET OUT OF HERE! Haha, I'm just joking. Sorry, lol... but yeah, those are the people we need. However, if you do have an idea to suggest, don't hesitate to tell us on the thread :)

Anyways maybe you should add a new boss such as a mechanical plantera? (Basically Another mech boss like Skeletron prime, twins, and destroyer) If you end up liking this idea, I have a few attacks you could add for the mechanical plantera :3

I'm not the one who changes the text. Augmented TCF changes it for me, but it doesn't work for me lately because for some reason whenever I quote a message it quotes it one line down and cancels the color change :/

Claws:

Basically Plantera's claws, but robatic. And deal massive amounts of damage when you are touched by one of them. You must defeat all 5 in order to progress the boss fight and get Mech plantera to her second form.

Eyes:

Has 2 robotic eyes that shoot lasers, These cannot be destroyed and become chaotic when you enter mecha plantera's 2nd form.

Ram:

Mechatera has one huge jet that makes it fly. (Cannot be damage), Using this jet, it rams into you like EoC does in expert, or Spazmitism in the twins fight.

2nd form!

No longer has its claws, however it gains some more attacks ;).

Rockets:

These rockets deal VERY high damage if you don't have the right defense and you get hit by one. Your in trouble!

Stingers: Can shoot stingers every once in a while that inflict a poison debuff on the player.

Expert mode only attack!

When mechatera enters its 2nd form, it will start breathing fire.

And this, my friends, is the PERFECT example of why we need another AI coder :D but yeah, those are really good attack ideas! I'll definitely suggest it to the team :)

I like the attacks, but I don't like the boss itself. The mechanical trio is a very iconic Terraria boss fight, and a mech Plantera just doesn't really seem to fit. Maybe edit the moves, and have a Tank boss, maybe in an event...idk why that came in my head.

Yeah, I hear you. A tank boss would be really cool too! Maybe it could be a transformer tank thing called "Mechanefarious" (A play on the words "Mecha" and "Nefarious" (A synonym for "Evil")) or "Mechatank". It could work like this:

First form:
It's a huge robot with a color scheme similar to the 1st sprite you posted, and has a similar animation to the ice golem. It has cannon-hands that shoot large rockets that deal a respectable amount of damage, on impact with any tile/player (excluding air, obviously), it explodes into 4 smaller tracking rockets that deal 1/3 of the larger rocket. It's eyes shoot lasers (once again, similar to the ice golem), and deal moderate damage. It throws little mini-soldiers from a backpack on his back that are about the same size as the player, maybe a bit bigger, and there are 2 different kinds of soldiers: Bombers, and gunners. The bombers throw grenades and shoot rockets, the grenades deal moderate damage, the rockets deal high damage. The gunners have machine guns that shoot quickly but deal light damage.

First form stats (All stats are subject to change!):
90000 normal health, 120000 expert health
35 normal defense, 45 expert defense
55 normal melee damage, 65 expert melee damage (If you smack into him)
70 normal large rocket damage, 80 expert large rocket damage
23 normal mini tracking rocket damage, 26 expert mini tracking rocket damage
55 normal eye laser damage, 65 expert eye laser damage

Bomber stats (Subject to change):
200 normal health, 325 expert health
40 normal melee damage, 55 expert melee damage (If you smack into one)
45 normal grenade damage, 55 expert grenade damage
65 normal rocket damage, 80 expert rocket damage

Gunner stats (Once again, subject to change):
125 normal health, 250 expert health
45 normal melee damage, 55 expert melee damage (If you smack into one)
30 normal machine gun damage, 40 expert machine gun damage


Second form:
At a third of it's full health, it bursts high into the air and says in the chat "Mechanefarious has been defeated!". After a few seconds, it drops down on top of/close to the player, and says "Mechatank has descended!". In this form, he shoots the same large rockets as before, but they do more damage and shoot slightly faster. This time, they explode into 6 smaller tracking rockets that deal 1/3 of the large rocket damage. It has 2 machine guns on the side that deal moderate damage and shoot slightly slower than the gunners. There is a bomber inside the tank that pops out of the hatch on the top and throws a grenade at the player that deals high explosive damage. He does this often.

Second form stats (Subject to change):
30000 normal mode health, 40000 expert mode health
20 normal defense, 35 expert defense
60 normal melee damage, 75 expert melee damage
75 normal rocket damage, 85 expert rocket damage
27 normal mini rocket damage, 30 expert mini rocket damage
40 normal machine gun damage, 50 expert machine gun damage
80 normal grenade damage, 85 expert grenade damage

So yeah that's about it for my ideas for the Mechanefarious stats/attacks. I spent pretty long on this, and freaked the hell out at one point because I accidentally left the page and didn't manually save a draft so I thought I was gonna have to start over when I was basically done :P. If you guys have any suggestions to make it more balanced, or any different attacks to add to it, feel free to suggest as always :)

Sounds good! Sadly, I really suck at making small-scale NPC sprites, so I'll have to get someone else on the team to do that :P also, there is only 1 coder on the team that knows how to do AI right now, and he's currently working on his own mod and the Corruptor of Galaxies AI, so if anyone else with experience in AI wants to join, feel free to... well... yeah you get it :D
 
Hey guys! So, everyone here agrees that endgame hell is kinda boring, right? Well, maybe not.... but either way, we're going to improve it! We already have a boss and an uncommon (not quite rare, but also not common) miniboss for hell :) I'm going to do the sprite for the miniboss today, and I will post it here for feedback today. Oh also, sorry for not releasing the beta yet! It should be out relatively soon I think, however I don't know how long it takes to make AI :P
 
Hey guys, sorry I haven't had that Infernal Titan sprite out yet. I'm having a bit of trouble doing it, because I'm only allowed on my computer on weekends, and I can't concentrate very well at school. I will probably have the sprite out on the weekend :)
EDIT: Forgot to say that the Infernal Titan is one of those things we are adding to hell to make it more interesting in late hardmode :P

Haha, sounds awesome. I especially love how it goes along with the rhyme scheme of all the other souls ^-^ I will make it drop souls of fight, definitely. Maybe they could be used to make improved versions of hard mode melee weapons?

ATTENTION!!
We are going to be taking a break from working on the mod until one of these things happens: 1. TMC COMES back to the mod, or 2. We get a good AI coder that can work at the same times as the rest of the team. The reasons for this are, as you may have noticed, we are not making ANY progress whatsoever lately. I am not going to release a beta until we get at least 1 boss, and few enemies, and some more items in the mod, so until we get a good coder on this mod team, we will be stopping work. This doesn't mean that we are abandoning this mod completely, just that we are taking a small break. We hope you understand.

Wrong. It is being picked up, just with a different thread page (Hasn't been created yet, I'm going to wait until we have some content to post). And yes, this mod is discontinued because we were not getting much done. Hopefully it will work out better the second time around.

EDIT: It isn't really much of a "disagreement". The truth is we really just hate each other now. Anyway, since this place is gonna be inactive, I'm requesting the thread to be locked now, thanks.
