... Or better yet, a pet that's a baby version of it.

Soul Striders are creatures not of Terrarian origins, these beasts come from the world beyond death. They may come across as docile but they thresh souls of the living and dead. These souls are confined within the monster for eternities to dry them of the energy they produce for their eternal existence. A fate of a Strider is perhaps one of the most unfortunate. These monsters appeared when these sensed a break in their world and ours. They devour the remnants of the Terrarian Spirit for its greater source. Freeing the fragments of the Spirit would be doing a noble service.

- Can walk Across water , if a Strider is hit they lash out with a Spirit bolt which homes in on players , it primarily attacks with a gazing beam. It takes a short time to charge but deals heavy damage.

NOTE: To avoid being overwhelmed by his bolts , try and aim for high damage and slow speed weapons like a sniper rifle. This will spawn less bolts while dealing a decent chunk. Beams are easy to dodge if you can do that.
