Expert is pretty easy to do legit. The only “cheating” I would do is give yourself about 100 platinum coins for reforging. After the merchant has moved in; don’t want to make it too easy.

just do it on a drunk seed, you basically can find armor easily being the moon lords legs that do 3 defense.
