tModLoader The Thorium Mod

Does this mod cooperates with Crystilium mod?

It should work fine, for the most part every single mod is compatible with every single other. Exceptions are rare.

Once again, anyone not seeing enemies must UPDATE to the latest version via modloader.

I'm using the latest tmodloader and the latest release of this mod. Enemies spawn in singleplayer, but not in multiplayer. Neither host and play nor a dedicated server works.

The latest release as in, the manual download in this thread, or the one on Mod Loader? You need version 1.2.10.4 or later.

I've been having a lot of fun with this mod so far, however I'm having this glaring issue with white backgrounds. I'm not sure what is causing it, seeing how most others don't have this trouble. Through searching I only saw it mentioned twice in this thread, and the friend who I am playing through with is also experiencing this problem. However he was able to somehow fix it by cycling through the light settings, but this hasn't fixed it for myself. He's the one hosting, and we are both using the latest version.

I think what confuses me most is how some images have partial white backgrounds, such as the Flight Wings seen below. Some other items seem to have an eraser tool drawn through their white backgrounds, some having squares out of them like the wings, and others having certain unconnected pieces remaining (like a ring having the surrounding background gone, but not the center, or vice versa.) This leads me to think that there is something both on my side and something wrong with the sprite files themselves, as the white background problem isn't consistent within the same sprite file.

I hope this can be solved as I'm having fun with the mod so far, but I feel I'd like it much more if all the new interesting items, enemies, and projectiles, didn't have these backgrounds.

Uhm. If I recall correctly this issue is based on certain versions or operating systems I think? What version of Terraria are you using (Steam? GoG? Illegal?) and operating system?

Oh, my bad. I had 1.2.10.1 for some reason (even though I downloaded it yesterday). Thank you.

Using Steam.

Again, I think part of this has to do with the image files (along with my computer), but seeing how some sprites like the Flight Wings, Arcane Dust, and the Family Heirloom have partial white backgrounds (as opposed to full on white backgrounds like the Steel Axe and Flight helmet), makes me think it's not a just on my side thing, but a result from an issue on my end as well as on the file side. There is something inconsistent going on within the same file that would cause this to happen.

I'm wondering, are the backgrounds completely transparent? I'm wondering if these white backgrounds may be backgrounds at an incredibly low transparency setting, say even at 1%, so for those with better computers, it displays the background at this low transparency level, which practically seems completely transparent? But for me, with a not-so-advanced computer, can only display colors completely solid or not, leading this 1% transparency to display as full-on 100% color? With some files appearing to be partially erased with an eraser tool, this has me thinking this MIGHT be the case. But I am not entirely sure.

Have you tried redownloading Terraria or redownloading the mod?

Thats about all i can think of that might fix it.

HELP ME I did downloaded it and followed instruction please help.

If you followed the instructions and it didn't work, then you obviously are just bad at following instructions.
The easiest way to get mods is to download tModLoader, follow the instructions for that so that you can play it, and just download from the mod browser. Simple as that.
Far easier then downloading mods manually, far harder to screw up.

You already asked this twice on the previous page, you should wait quite a while before asking again (and never ask twice on the same page anyways). Also, as Skullray said, you gave no helpful info and obviously didn't follow the instructions as if you did it would have worked. Just make sure that you are following the instructions provided in the tModloader thread

Umm hey guys so ive got this mod on my mac and i planed on playing with a mate but it aint working, ive also got Calamity and Zoaklen mod active. anyone know why it wont work, my terraria crashes as soon as i start the server

Can someone help me? I donloaded the the tModloader and put the tmod in the input and it doesnt work please help me. Thanks!
I think we're going to need to be a little more clear on where in the process it's going wrong. First of all, do you have tModloader working correctly (you should see "Mods" and "Mod Browser" options on the main menu if so)? If you do, it should be possible to just grab Thorium through the Mod Browser and save yourself a headache. If not, you'll first need to get that working. I recommend using the installer file included with tModloader if you're on a Windows PC, as it makes things a lot easier.

Note: If you are using a pirated copy of Terraria, things will be harder and you will have to do things manually, but forum rules prohibit endorsing piracy, so no one here can/will give you specific instructions on how to do that.

After using it for most of a playthrough, I've got to say that the turtle's mystical bulwark is pretty amazing for how quickly you can get it. Even if you can only pick up half of the heals, that's effectively 12.5% damage reduction, along with 2 defense. At its best it's better than a worm scarf, and at its worst it's 2 defense, which isn't the worst. My only disappointment comes from it not building in to anything else. I think it would combine really well with the frozen turtle shell, for obvious thematic reasons, but I could honestly see it working well with the spiked bracer or something like that as well. It might be too strong combined with the spiked bracer, simply because you'd be able to craft it so early in the game, so it would probably have to combine with some additional hardmode item... What would maybe be a little too crazy would be a sort of counterpart to the terrarium shield, which is more party-oriented with its paladin shield effect. Something like turtle bulwark + frozen shell + ankh shield, along with an endgame crafting material, to make an item providing more self-oriented benefits, since some people might prefer a solo experience or just not have someone to play with. But I could see an item like that being much too strong, since defensive items can be tricky (looking at you, spirit band).

This could also just be me being picky or something on my end, but the shade teleport ability of the shade set seems to have a very long delay at times, particularly if I'm trying to teleport in to a house-sized space, no matter how I aim the ability.

Anyway, keep up the awesome work!

This Mod lag my computer xD

What does the debuff in the Aquatic Depths do? I've been searching around the wiki and haven't really found an answer for what's going on, although I noticed I wasn't really taking damage.

If you're not in water and are breathing plain air (for example, to get around the issue of needing some form of water breathing) you take damage. If you're in the water, you're safe.

Is there an instruction page anywhere explaining how to install this?
I looked everywhere in the OP for a way explaining how, to no avail.
I know it's something pretty stupid to ask, but why not put an explanation in the first post, so new people coming won't have to waste time asking questions like this?
I understand there MAY be something somewhere, but the fact that it's not easy for someone new like me to find is just ridiculous.

First off, you should be able to find it on the main tModLoader thread, which also houses download for tModLoader, which is what you'll need anyway.
Second off, use mod browser in tModLoader itself, so very much easier then doing it manually. If you want to do it manually, it's not hard to find, somewhere in Documents, My Games, Terraria and it should be there where you put the mods to make it work after you've downloaded and gone in tModLoader, I believe.
