Biomes & Nature Third Evil: The Decay

I think a third evil would be cool. Unnecessary, but cool.

The entire premise would be something sucking the life out of the very earth. The color palette would be gray and dusty, almost like the entire biome was hit with a monochrome filter: Gray grass, sand etc

The stone would be called deadstone or dullstone?

Since the Corruption has vertical/horizontal caves, and the crimson has long diagonal large caves (idk havent played it), this new one could perhaps have short zig zagging caves. The enemies for the most part would likely be weaker than those of the other two evils, but apply a withering effect that rapidly drains 10 health a second for a few seconds, deadly to early game players.

Will be adding a screenshot shortly
The Crimson goes in a Zig Zag way that leads down into a big circle-shaped cavern with some lines going out

I can barely read this why are you using blue text

highlight it, I usually use blue text because that's just what I like to use

I'd rather have new content for existing biomes rather than a whole new one, much less one that's mutually exclusive with existing biomes.

Just an idea

Maybe the decay can be a spiral, with a hub in the center?
I like the gray idea, but the corruption is already gray-ish. Maybe it could be dark blue & green?

I think it shouldn't be called the decay, maybe Rotten?

Why do you not consider Hallow an evil? I mean its mobs attack you…and would this be an alternate Hallow?

I don't think there's any need for another evil biome.

I consider Corruption to represent decay, while Crimson is the opposite, representing rampant growth.

Inside the lore, it talks about how it wants to purify everything. The fact that your character killed the WoF, a good monster trying to keep stuff locked up, they see you as impure

LOL…go figure. Though what “lore”? Like in the wiki or something I’m guessing?

Yes. It also says that the WoF is a monster keeping spirits from releasing into the world.

…having flashback to Collateral Damage movie…the cost of getting the true evil.
