This weapon is simply unique pre-hardmode Flamethrower. Range of spitter is a little less than standard Flamethrower.

Projectile pierce one enemy.

As you can see, current Amber Staff is pretty bad weapon at the moment, because it is difficult to obtain and by the time you can craft this staff you can have stronger magic weapons (like Diamond Staff). My idea is to rework Amber Staff so it will no longer function as "yet another average Gem Staff" but now it will be a "Pre-Hardmode Crystal Serpent-type Staff". Amount of needed ingredients to craft Amber Staff will remain the same. Let's take a look:

New Amber Staff fires a projectile that shatters into 2 to 3 smaller sparks on impact with an enemy or solid block, each of which deals anywhere from 50% to 100% damage to the initial blast. These sparks are affected by gravity and ricochet against solid blocks, lasting one second before disappearing. When fired at a one block thick wall one of the splash projectiles has a chance of passing though to the other side.

I think I'm not the only one who is disappointed that Mechant says in the morning: "Sword beats paper! Get one today" but he does not sell any swords. It's time to fix that. This weapon will help you survive at the beginning of the game more easily if you didn't craft Iron Broadsword or something similiar. Common Sword have increased base critical chance and pretty good knockback but it is rather slow. It cost only 2

This item is my idea to give rangers some nice weapon from Underground Jungle's materials. Stinger Launcher shots penetrate enemies and can bounce off the ground and walls much like Candy Corn Rifle ones. They can ricochet 2 times and are destroyed on the third time after hitting a solid block, monster, or player in PvP. Stinger Quarrels have 20% chance to poison enemies. You can craft Stinger Quarrels from Stinger.

LAW is an explosive Pre-Hardmode ranged weapon and behaves like weaker equivalent of Rocket Launcher. It uses missiles as ammo which can be bought from the Arms Dealer or Demolitionist when the LAW is in player's inventory.

The Hunter is an NPC that doesn't sell anything, but assigns Hunting Quests to players. Quest objectives generally involve finding and killing certain unique enemies from particular biomes, grabbing their loot which player can exchange for various rewards. When there are enemies near the Hunter, he will attack with his boomerang.

He can be found wandering around Jungle biome after player defeats The Eye of Cthulhu. He will move in when:
  • You have an empty house for him
  • You have talked to him
Speaking to the Hunter and clicking his "Hunt" button will display the day's Hunting Quest. The enemies will only appear during the day when its Hunting Quest is in effect. Once you've defeated the required enemy (or multiple enemies - depending on hunt) and picked up its loot, speak to the Hunter and click "Hunt" again. The Loot item in your inventory will be replaced by a reward.

I think that classical armors need little buff in order to compete head to head with new ones. Here is my way to do this. I'm not saying that Cobalt armor is bad or something, but it will lose to Palladium set "as-is". Raising overall defense by 2 at most cases will not be that much, but it will do the trick.

This is what I wanted ingame. It's automatic like Vampire Knifes or Scourge. The Plasma Shuriken is a Hardmode post-Plantera ranged weapon that inflicts melee damage that operates exactly as the Shuriken and has no mana or ammunition cost. Plasma Shuriken will fly in a direct line in the direction where you click for the first 32 tiles of distance, then suddenly start being affected by gravity and losing forward momentum (unless being thrown downwards). Plasma Shuriken also produce a small amount of light. The Plasma Shuriken benefit from armor and accessories that provide melee bonuses, such as Turtle armor and the Fire Gauntlet, and not from sets offering ranged or magic bonuses like Shroomite armor. This weapon can pierce, making it a very viable weapon against worms and clusters of enemies. Also has an high base crit chance of 12% compared to other weapons 4%.

Is anyone using Flintlock Pistol at the moment? I'm afraid no. So I made an idea to make this pistol material for crafting something better. True hybrid weapon is here. When you click left mouse button is will fire a bullet. Clicking right mouse button will swing the weapon. Both swing and shot counts as ranged damage. If you don't have any ammo with you, you can still swing the Gunblade. It is somehow affected by attack speed.

==Notes==
1. This weapon is not automatic. Click, click, click.
2. This weapon cannot have modifier that increases size or velocity. Because of that, Gunblade can only have Universal and Common modifiers. Best prefix is Godly.
3. It works kinda like a musket combined with broadsword.

Well, like I said, I love blowpipes. I think that Terraria need some ultimate blowpipe type weapon, so it is my solution. This blowgun fires darts/seeds. Additionaly it turns seeds into laser projectile that gains higher velocity and glowing effect. You can grab this beauty from Martians.

The Goblin Bow is a rare drop from Goblin Archers (1% chance to drop). It turns any suitable arrow into a Goblin Arrow, which fires at a high velocity in a straight path, regardless of the type of arrow used. Any special effects of the used arrows are lost in the transformation.

I decided to make portable weapon that can shoot both Cannonballs and Explosive Bunnies. It cannot crit and knock enemies back. Damage is based on current ammunition. It fires slightly faster, also "bullets" have higher velocity. Hand Cannon deals indefinite type of damage, so it cannot benefit from ranged, melee, magic and summoning bonuses. Furthermore this weapon can't be reforged (because of bullets and inability to critical strike). It is pretty expensive but gives a lot of fun.

These are nice alternatives to Cross Necklace or Star Cloak. They can block damage from monsters, bosses, lava and DoT (damage over time). They cannot block fall damage and special damage (like Dungeon Guardian hit or damage from escaping Wall of Flesh with Magic Mirror).

Marker Gun is more practical version of Water Gun / Slime Gun, because it inflicts the Marked debuff on players, enemies, and NPCs, which highlights the inflicted character and makes it glow, and has a duration of 30 seconds. The Marker Gun can be used limitlessly and does not consume any ammunition or mana.

The Hyper Booster can be placed as a section of Minecart Track to automatically boost the speed of a Minecart that rides over it. The direction of the boost is indicated by the animated blue arrows it displays, which can be toggled using a Hammer or Wire. Hyper Booster is made with Nanites and Booster Track at Mythril Anvil. When player pass through Hyper Booster, he gains buff for 5 seconds that let's him achieve speed above current maximum. You can do sick jumps with these :D

It is made with common materials. Birds summoned are very similar to Bird / Blue Jay / Cardinal. Two of the birds can attack enemies (weak attacks but still). Birds simply give you a little buff:

* Bird - This Minion gives you a passive boost to Movement Speed of 10% and increase jump height.

* Blue Jay - Attack enemies and gives you a minor boost to Defense.

* Cardinal - Attack enemies and gives you a minor boost to Attack.

Herbal Tincture is a potion that gives the player the Tipsy debuff, which increases melee damage, but lowers the player's defense. It lasts three times as long as Ale. It is sold by the Witch Doctor NPC when in the Jungle biome, for 10 View attachment 10790 each.
Flintlock Pistol is weak weapon. Also it doesn't look like flintlock pistol in real life. Let's change that but first some stats:

New feature (nerf): Bullets disappear after travelling 52 blocks

Main goal of this rework is to make this pistol more unique and realistic. Now it looks and behave very similar to real life flintlock pistol.

Hmmm interesting idea although i didn't get to read them all but I would like to know if I could add some of these to a mod note you will get full credit for the idea

Please remember that this in NOT final version of thread. What items are you interested in to put in mod? I'm curious.
 
I think the True Blowpipe is far too OP for the point at which it is acquired. It is a very fast Sniper Rifle in essence. The stats for it need to be balanced. Nice ideas though! I like some of the mechanics. Just nerf some of the "360 no-scope lololol" weapons or make them available later on.

I made a mistake. True Blowgun shouldn't be Very Fast but instead it should be Slow. Sorry about that ;). Some mistakes can be done while creating big thread like this one.

But, on the flower of nature you made a spelling mistake in the crafting, you wrote "cardigan" instead of "cardinal" :p

D'oh. Like I said, there will be mistakes hidden within thread. I will try to fix them quickly :)

Mostly the nature staff and broken hero bow but maybe others as I read the whole thing
 
These are all extremely detailed and well made! But if I had to put my money on one, it would be the Hyper Booster Track. It's simply genius.
 
Finally made some updates and removed most typos from thread. Also I remaked True Blowgun sprite, check it out!
 
Hello guys. Just added new content. Check "Armor Rebalancing" and "Some "Drinks"" sections. Untile next time (probably some suggestions in the future).
