One idea I've had is a recall maker(Maybe a staff?). What it does is:
Before logging off Terraria, you can cast one at your desired location, and when you log back in, you spawn here without changing spawn. It can also be used in-game like a rod of discord, but sucks because it has a +2 range, whereas RoD can teleport you to the whole screen.
(Probably left click for recall, right click for discord)
