  • Ok, almost to the end of the Expert mode run. Cleared all pillars and Moon Lord wiped me out in 20 seconds.

I originally wasn't gonna do it.
I did but gave up due to it being too hard for me. My first legit (I cheated Luminite onto the normal mode character to kill him) kill was on the Expert character.

Not to brag but I'm *the* wizard. It's part of the title, not *a* wizard.
Randomly speaking - you can get moonlord's deathray down from 300 damage to 40 damage with the right items in expert.

I am trying to get through my expert mage world. The only reason I killed the wall of flesh was because I spammed Demon Scythe :D
I'm so utterly mad. I have duplicates of every non-decoration Angler Quest reward except the Weather Radio. Just give it to me already!

Finally got the bloody thing. 129 total fishing quests though it feels like way more.

We should probably make those info accessories part of the set quest progression..

All over the forums people are frustrated over them. I havent even gotten any of those weird coralstone blocks yet.

You too were having problems with the Weather Radio? Hahahahaha. I had the same issue too, had to ask a friend's help to get it.
If it is possible, please have a look at my tAPI error post. This is a problem which I cannot fix, and I need the tAPI developers and supporters to have a look at, as the public seems to agree it is the only choice I have at this point. Thanks!

Man, they better port Yorai's Smart Cursor code over to the Console versions. His is infinitely superior.

I actually don't even use PC's Smart Cursor for wall placing. It's good, but it can even have errors sometimes.
But yeah, Yorai's is definitely better, kinda like how 1.2's minimap is better than the map on Console.

PC's minimap is more realistic but console's is kind of fun because it doesn't preserve lighting. It means you can see a bit further on the map. Feels a bit like an exploit.

As a console peasant, I've never gotten to use Yorai's Smart Cursor...are the legends of it true?
Expert Skeletron is a jerk. Knocked out his hands and he just sat directly on my player until he died.

You basically treat him like a Dungeon Guardian. If his head touches you you're dead.

I was able to dodge all of his attacks using the slime mount.

That was about right. I did just beat him and it was close each time he managed to get on top of me. I had to just run without any dashing and hope I made it out before I died. Now to get some bones and try his item.
Hey man, I never got to talk to you before, but you seemed to be an excellent person from what I was told by other members of Re-logic. You added in a lot of features that I heavily use now to make my Terraria gameplay much smoother. Thank you for all that you did with the 1.3 update, and I hope you, your wife, and your kids are doing well today, tomorrow, and moving forward past that.

Making the game smoother to play was one of the things I was always trying to do. I also added a bunch of stuff to help make the development smoother by catching some of the more common bugs, like forgetting to give a map color to new tiles.
Hey man, had to stop by and say thanks for the work you did on 1.3 before I joined the team. Placement Preview and a lot of the other stuff you did I've used extensively during development, and I really hope 1.3 is something you'll be proud to have been a contributor to

I even gave you a spot in my Developer shrine :)

I never did get some Dev armor, did I? I always thought there would be time for it in the future. I don't even recognize some of the stuff in that shrine but I know Yorai enough to know what would be his spot. :)

Yorai added his during the last moments in 1.3, everything else came first :)

(Skiphs is the bear, the black and red armour is Loki, and the blue valkyrie gear is Lazure's)

Ah, I wondered about the Valkyrie gear. I love the colors and design on that and I'm honestly not surprised that on is Lazure's. Man, I miss all of the old team and am a bit sad I never really got to meet the new Beta folks either.
Hey Sol, just wanted to drop by to say thanks for all your hard work on 1.3! The placement preview system is truly one of the finest features of the game. :)

Thanks. It's been so frustrating to attempt to play the game without having it knowing it was just sitting over in the 1.3 beta build. I am quite proud of it.
Cried a bit tonight. Went to go play Terraria with friends and saw my old 1.3 testing characters. I'd forgotten they were there still.

Seems being a member of the team meant more to me than I had realized, even after all this time not being on it anymore.

Can only imagine being on a team like that starts to feel like friends and family after awhile. It's always a bit rough to think about.
Replaying Suvivial Minecraft makes me extremely happy that I pushed for very cheap Minecart tracks for Terraria.

Yeah, they're not open to them usually. Even the forumers are hardly open to them either, lol. Here on TCF though, people seem to actually care, and although it's still tough, the devs certainly listen a lot more than Mojang/Microsoft.

I also find the arrangement of tools and weapons a bit bland. The tools and weapons are the exact same since when tools and weapons were 1st introduced(Not including enchantments and potions). There's only 1 actual ranged weapon, so combat doesn't tend to get intresting.

Back in the ooooooold days of Minecraft, stacks went all the way up to 128.
Man, I don't get Craft the World claiming it's like Terraria. It's not bad but crafting things is far too grindy.

Terraria limits your crafting by what materials you can manage to get your hands on and that works. CtW forces you to craft items to work down a tech tree which leaves you crafting things you don't even want just to try and get towards something you do want and sometimes it's a really long path.
Would you mind if I referenced you in my Sims 3 thread as a cameo, much like I did with Cenx, Loki and a few others?
