    I was in Creative Mode when I played Minecaft for the first time. The second time I only played it for a few seconds and then got bored and exited. There was no 3rd time.

    I always try to go for 5 diamonds every time I play, it usually takes a few days but 5 diamonds is enough to get a diamond pickaxe and an enchantment table.
    Obtaining enough diamonds for a full set of diamond gear is basically impossible so I've never tried, it's barely better than iron stuff anyway.

    I found some in my survival world (my only survival world, on my phone) by starting the run, I spawned in a ravine and found 4 diamonds right around the corner.
    I jumped down once I had an iron pickaxe.
    Not sure how I found the rest of the diamonds I've found so far.
