PC 1.4.4 -savedirectory option changed?

I start Terraria from Steam on my windows machines. I added a -savedirectory \\folder_name to the Launch Options within Steam Terraria Properties. This allowed my family to have all their characters and worlds on the network shared drive. Today after updating to 1.4.4 this is not working anymore. Does anyone know what I can change to get this functionality back?

Have you updated to the 1.4.4.1 hotfix? I know that 1.4.4.0 had some issues with the server bypassing launch options, so please check it out and let me know!

Yep, Title screen shows I have v1.4.4.1

Confirmed, will be fixed in 1.4.4.2

It appears to be working in 1.4.4.2.
