Its a cool easter egg that they added... It would be cool if you find it it could give you the zapinator or some exclusive item.

I only ask cause my daughter took some from my would and used them in hers, I realized this was the issue cause her game was fine till then. I went in hers and fixed the issue which fixed her game.

Unfortunately not... but I've got another theory now :D . Everytime I put a butterfly in a bottle this Error occurs. Sometimes it crashes when I try to open the bag which carries the bottle and sometimes I'm able to put the bottle in the world but a few minutes later it crashes. I'm not sure, but I believe it's because of the Monarch Butterfly. When I try to "create" this bottle the game offers me more than one Monarch-Butterfly-Bottles.

I also recognized that, when the bottle with the butterfly has been put in the world and the game freezes for a few seconds, this bottle disappears and a blue line is shown.

Above the bottle in the house there was a bottle outside. This is what I see when it freezes and seconds later the system has to restart.
I'm not sure , but maybe the last week I had one of these bottles in a chest...
 
If you manage to get a slime (I only saw it with a yellow holiday ribbon slime) in a 1 block tall gap, the slime will clip into the floor when it jumps, then clip back out when it jumps again.
 
I would like to bring up something no one has mentioned, as far as I can tell. Pink Jellyfish do not drop the Jellyfish Necklace; I have, on two occasions while farming them, seen them drop Diving Helmets, which I think they are dropping in place of the necklace. I have not gotten the chance to test Blue Jellyfish, so I don't know about those.

Aside from that, the main thing bothering me is that I cannot craft the Imp Staff and I have not been able to find a clear reason why. The wiki says the mobile version has it, and I have the materials. Is it not implemented for some reason, or is it a bug?

I have plenty of them, they do drop.


Imp staff is 1.2.4
 
I thought 3DS was 1.2.4 equivalent, is it not?

Also, what about the Diving Helmets? I know they drop those (at least on my game) and I know they're not supposed to.

It's not, it's 1.2 with some added features from higher builds. There adding more stuff too
 
So I'll probably get the Imp Staff at some point then, good to know.

I'll do more testing about the Jellyfish, but I've farmed them for hours and never seen a Necklace.

I got the jellyfish necklace while farming blue jellyfish, so the blue ones drop it!

Edit: I just farmed some. Here is the time it took to get it. 3 mins 40secs

I don't think anyone's mentioned this yet, but I've found a weird glitch regarding Jack 'O Lanterns.

For some reason, one of my work benches allows me to put a Jack 'O Lantern on it, but the moment I do it instantly breaks, allowing me to pick it up again. Following this I get some weird black visual glitch. It appears to be stretched black blocks flashing on the screen. My house is made of obsidian so perhaps that's why the glitch is black...

You should check it out, it's pretty weird. I could try take a snap on miiverse if you like?
 
One more thing: I had a blizzard in a bottle, gave it to a friend upon exit, it was gone on both caracters. I have spent coutless hours in snow biomes looking for a replacement, alas no chests have been found. We were trying to make the bundle of balloons.
Edit: 8 hours of playing later... found one finally!

And my friends and I were trying to make an artificial desert biome. We were digging it out and then it crashed. There were 3 of us at the time, not sure how long we were in together for...

My husband has had his game crash a few time as well as myself and our son, but the main thing that happens to my son is sometimes his items will disappear from the first slot in his inventory. Don't know what he does to have that happen but it's gotten him at least 4 times.

- Shroomite armor make you invisible even when you move. Its hard to play with it equipped.
- There is surely a bug with drop rates. My wall of flesh drops only ranger emblem, and I killed it plenty of times (20+) in different worlds. Sometimes enemies drop something (wisp bottle from blue armored bones or diving helmet from sharks f.e.) wery often, sometimes I farm them for hours and can not get any. I dont know when rates change, but neither dying nor reloading affect this.
- I can confirm hardmode enemies in mushroom biomes underground pre-hardmode - I saw them plenty of times.

I can confirm the WoF does also drop none ranger emblem things. Wisp in a bottle is suppose to drop from blue armor skeletons. Diving helmet from sharks is perfectly normal. Look at the wiki it helps.

I was able to obtain sorcerer, melee, and ranger emblems. so keep trying;). Also what he was talking about was that he was getting to many wisp in a bottle and diving helmet to often and that they are soposed to be a low drop rate, i just think that he is just being very lucky with RNG.

With the first slot item disapearing as already reported, with this info we know that this is possible and know we need someone to give more info on how this happenes, only thing to say is that if you quick stack and if you have any dublicate item in a chest; EVEN in you main inventroy hub, you items well be moved to the chest, not to say if this is a bug or not just make sure you look in your chest to see if it is in there. P.S. had this happen before when i didn't know where my zapinator went and i looked in my chest and found it there with one of my other zapinators. would like to see them add (favorite item)
@4rft5 Make sure that both you and you friend both save the game and double save the game to make sure.
