Do know, if I wasn't feeling merciful, I would have left it to the more likely take of Draedon's security outright killing Max as he is unconscious, as Draedon's technology is designed to be lethal as quoted here.
Draedon, character-wise, would also have just let the security system kill Max as well, citing him as an imperfection in the test with no remorse.
Try not to go all gung ho and just charge enemies, especially enemies that are designed to take advantage of that, i.e. the field generators. I'm not too forgiving when people leeroy jenkins into lethal danger.)
At the very least, Max is still unconscious, but alive, at least. It is quite hard to perceive anything but the void of being knocked out, electrocuted, and being pummeled with attacks.
