With the help of some "encouragement" (AKA G1 yelling at Xee, and Xee yelling back), he successfully lands without getting cut in half. And he's now just laying on the ground in pain.

G1, meanwhile, keeps firing. (11,19)

That last one wasn't supposed to be on fire, but clearly it helped.

(18, 13) The first cannonball almost seems to vanish into thin air, compressed in a moment into a point so small it seems to be gone entirely.

The second begins to unevenly crunch in on itself, but still manages to make it to the machine, punching a hole straight through its torso, as it seems the compression merely increased the cannonball's density. This narrowly misses the glass core at the center of the torso.

After a moment to survey the duo, Astraletos simply seems to blink away, now in the air above the entire group.

One of its swords seems to vanish into thin air while the other floats nearby, glowing with plasma.

The sword is fired down into the ground, piercing the seemingly impenetrable water with a massive crunching sound, and purple cracks in reality splitting along the ground.

Astraletos raises a hand, which begins to also glow with plasma.

It seems the machine is about to do something.. big..

It might be a good idea for everyone to get out of range.
 
Niyr would quickly open a portal to help evacuate his allies, before passing through himself.
Afterwards, he would fly up, and watch the machine closely.
 
Xee, still on the floor, just uses his propeller hat to slide away.

G1, meanwhile, initiates MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE, moving at a blistering.... 7 miles an hour.

Yeah bro is not escaping.
 
(will probably wait for Orcha and Apple to respond, as I don't want them to kind of feel irrelevant in the conflict.. and things are about to get interesting too..)

With a quick vault over the blade (17) Cas runs and slides to get out of range of whatever this thing has in store.

Astraletos now comes barreling down, slamming its burning hand into the hilt of the sword, driving it deeper into the ground..

A sphere of roughly a half mile in diameter forms around the sword, cracks tracing along the ground as it's pushed deeper and deeper..

And then, the machine grips the hilt of the blade, ripping it out of the ground with a monumental heave.

The ground itself within the sphere rips up, floating in chunks through the air.. leaving an odd abyss of purple haze where the ground once was.

... the gravity within the sphere seems.. off.

Astraletos floats around inside the sphere, waiting.
 
The group would collectively find portals open beneath each of them, unceremoniously dropping them on various floating chunks within the odd half-mile sphere.

The gravity seems lower than usual..
 
Cas throws a ball to see if it will orbit inside the sphere, hops over to Brambol and Fikitt. “Hey you guys alright?”
 
(By now, I will just assume Maskie's wounds from a while ago prior to this fight have healed.)


Maskie is standing there in shock.

He suddenly snaps out of his state of shock.


``Back, what is everyone planning, also I may of forgot some people.``
 
Fed up with the lack of action, Astraletos would look to Cas, Fikitt, and Brambol before rapidly dashing towards them, aiming to hit them with a slice meant to destroy the floating stone they're on. (14)
