I am going to be hosting a 2-4 day play through from scratch (brand new characters) through the entirety of Terraria later today. (Or sooner, if the response from players is sooner) I have done this many times in the past, and every group I've worked with has always had a great time.
A few quick things about my server:
1. New Characters only. This is not negotiable. No statistic armor, not even wooden armor. 100 health, base mana. No utility items or weapons of any kind beyond a copper shortsword.
2. You can bring cosmetic armor and dye. This means you can bring vanity armor with no stats whatsoever if you wish, along with any dye in the game. You can also bring any minipet, but no mounts.
3. Game will be an expert playthrough. So beware. Bosses may be hellishly hard.
4. I may bring in specific items later on. For instance, if we do not all get cobalt shields, I will bring some in. For very specific cases, I may bring in items that are holding us back to petty grinding, for instance Nazar or metal detector which can only be farmed effectively on normal mode. This does not mean it's okay to bring in the next teir of armor when you get bored of grinding.
5. I will not tolerate griefing of any kind. This is pretty self-explanatory. Trash stuff on the server and act like a troll, and you will be banned from my game and any future games I ever host ever again. Zero tolerance for this crap.
6. When we are working together, loot goes to the person it is intended for. Meaning, if we kill, say, Wall of Flesh and the ranger emblem drops, it does not go to the melee, it goes to the ranged player. However, if you solo the wall of flesh, you can do whatever you please with the loot.
Hopefully this doesn't intimidate anyone, really I just want to have fun, and I hope you do too.
I'd like to set us up where we have one melee (yoyo included in this), one ranged, one magic, and one summon. Just post what you want to do, and when we get to 4 people I'll take whatever role is remaining.
I will do a corrupt or crimson world depending on what people desire; I have no preference, so whatever at least 2 of 3 want, I will do.
