Chaos State and Tipsy, then go for a melee playthrough. Maybe Mana Sickness would work too.

Chaos state and stinky. Sure, I won't be able to use the RoD, but the odds of me getting one are low.
If that's not okay, silenced and mana sickness. I'll just use non-magic weapons.
Oops, double post. And didn't notice that stinky isn't an option. Silenced and mana sickness then.

Stinky is prohibited. Literally the first thing in the post.

Confused and Water Candle.
I would get used to Confused.
And Water Candle is more of a buff to me.

Water candle and tipsy are borderline buffs. Given the chance I'd have them.

Water Candle and Chaos State

Well, since the water candle seems to count as a debuff I'll take that one and the Mana Sickness.
Having a permanent increase in enemies is really a bonus to me though.

Broken armor and mana sickness. Can't touch this.

ichor and darkness, if I had to pick for the 'most negligable non-positive debuffs'. As for the most fun for a challenge, I think bleeding and potion sickness being on permanently would make for quite the difficulty spike.

On Fire! and Cursed Inferno
Wait n- *burns to death*

I'd take Frozen and-- wait my playthrough is over? That was quick.

If I was to make a serious playthrough with permanent buffs, Bleeding and Water Candle it would be.

Well, with inventory editing this would be indeed possible
would be really cool if yrimir did that

silenced and bleeding. i'm a melee player.

@Coldshot Boostar, could you make it so tipsy and water candle aren't allowed? lots of people actually count those as buffs.

Chaos State and Bleeding
Never got the RoD, and I'm good at dying so regen sholdn't be a big problem.

How about adding Midas to the banned list? It doesn't do anything to players.

Anyway, I'd pick something like Confused and Bleeding. Would be interesting.

2 debuffs, eh?
Screw that! I'll choose all the debuffs! *dies in .000000000001 seconds of spawning*
Well, crap.

In all seriousness, I'd have to attempt it with ichor and broken armor. Then I have -20 defense. :naughty:

Hmm....Midas and Mana Sickness, then just use ranged weapons or melee.

It is in my firm belief that having Broken Armor for the whole playthrough would be 100% impossible.

Having said that, I would most likely choose Darkness and Mana Sickness.

Lighting shouldn't be much of a problem, and considering I'm a Ranged player the only magic weapon worth using is the Nimbus Rod, which already has a low base damage so Mana Sickness won't be much of a problem.

It is in my firm belief that having Broken Armor for the whole playthrough would be 100% impossible.

Playing the whole game with 0 defence is definitely possible. Defence isn't the only contributor to survival, other factors include maximum life, regeneration as well as evasive tactics to the player themelves.

Chaos State and Bleeding.
