OH. OKay. Sorry. I thought it was updated. boy, Mabi's in for a surprise when he tries to fight the goblin invasion since it seems to be never ending.
I'm really surprised Tmodloader let me keep running it, despite it being outdated.
I'll be sure to remove it.

I'm terribly sorry about this. I liked that mod, but I will indeed wait until it fixes itself.

Hey, have any of you heard of a mod conflcit that makes monsters not drop any money. Literally, all monsters don't drop money.
I have no clue if Prefixes is causing problems even after disabled, or if I should just delete every mod in my mod list, and start adding them back again.
Delete them from the hard drive, too.
he made it work on the new tmod but did not fix the issues thats why it still works (runs)

Sapharan,
I really like this mod you made, I'm a gamer that definetly enjoys variety. Your creatures look amazon and I like how you made it so I have to grind to obtain your Items.... Ok listen I lied a little, I really do like what i see on your page but I simply could not get past the beginning when right away your giving me stuff. Please add a config in or something that will let me change this so I can get past this minor gripe and see all these wonderful monsters you have created. I'm new here and I thought it was a community that shares but its not like that. So instead of fixing it myself I have to beg to you because your not releasing any of the source.

I'm not really sure what do you mean by that..

I first must let you know that i play with Thorium and Calamity and when I start a new worled with your mod it gives me crates with a prize in it. I really want to play your mod. I must also say I use the item checklist mod and when I get your items in the beginning it makes me feel like a I haven't earned those items. I know it might not make sense and for that I,m sorry.
[doublepost=1488217602,1488217436][/doublepost]Hell, It might even be one of those mods reading yours and giving me the free stuff. Who knows.

Those are a little help, they don't really give much of an advantage. It's just for little start. It's a part of my mod so no worries. Many of us here where playing thru Terraria countless of times, and grinding the beggining yet again is frustrating. That's why those exist. But also they give a very little to help. If more people won't like it, i do something else with those. You can just throw them away. In future, my mod will detect also GRealm, Spirit mod and Calamity and give players a little something at the start.

Oh btw, these crates will not give you only materials.. if you are lucky.

I have to agree with @Figs75 and their thoughts on the starting crates. If I decide I want some bonus items at the start of my game, I'd much rather just use Cheatsheet and do it myself, on my own terms -- rather than be given something unknown at the start of every game regardless if I wanted it. It's a bit disorienting and as Figs says, doesn't feel earned. If some players still want some bonus items handed to them right at the start, perhaps it would be best to make this part an optional submod like Lucky Finish.

And the confusion in regards to not knowing where these crates came from is justified, as I don't see mentioned anywhere in this mod's changelogs that this was recently added. Therefore I was confused when I saw this as well -- was not expecting it.

Well, that is not what i wanted to achieve with those.. but oh well. I want to do soemthing more about them, but i guess i have to do more, removing the "help from the unkown" part. I really try to pour via this mod some mystery, surprise. As i mentioned many times before, i feel like showing all the cards right at the start is ruining the whole experience, the whole point of discovery. I guess i have to ruin it regardless (-ish).

For me it's like reading the script of the movie and then going to cinema to watch it. Just saying.

I thinks thats why I'm going to be playing your mod, I like the way you think. The work on these creatures are amazing.
I just started a new world and your crates gave me a piece of blood from Thorium and 6 wolf fangs from your mod. I think I can
live with those since their easy to get. You still need to add a config option for those that dont want the gifts.

Ok I'm 30 minutes into playing your mod with thorium and I have this merman shooting at me. Every time he attacks I get...
Type == Soundloader.customSoundtype 10. I know i read something about this in earlier posts but I don't want to search again.
Anyway could you fix this or release the source so I can fix it myself? After all... we are a community are we not?

Dam, I read all the pages starting with 1 and would'nt you know.... I found my answer to my previous post on page 26...
my life sucks.

My last post for your mod, you should be happy about that. Your mod has too many problems for my liking. You need help bro, so release your source to the community so we can help you. I really do like your sprites, so i will be the butthead and tell you your coding skills stink, but you know, its not your first rodeo right?

First of all, edit your post instead of posting 4 times in a row. Second, never tell the mod developer that he 'needs help' - that's just straight up rude, and adds nothing to the discussion. If you think his coding skills suck, then either don't play the mod or offer suggestions instead of 'being the butthead'.

Lastly, I personally love having the starting crates - it's super cool having a random small bonus material/ore - almost like a 'hey, good luck buddy' at the start of the game. If people think it's too much (which I don't get), they can just trash it when they start.

Maybe Figs made you angry, but there's no need to make a dismissive comment just because you don't agree about starting crates (referring to "which I don't get"). Above I explained my position on this somewhat thoroughly -- so even if you prefer them (which I do get), it shouldn't be difficult to understand why someone else may see it as an unfair advantage if they get potentially powerful items immediately after starting a new character.

Sure we can trash them, but then it's a just minor annoyance every time you start out. And from what I've seen, chances are fairly high you'll get useless clutter anyway -- given you likely won't get the other items needed for their crafting recipes until much later on. Either way, I would think most players using a mod like this one (which primarily adds mobs making the game more difficult) aren't looking for any handouts or a crutch -- if anything, the opposite.

Uhh I don't know why you think my comment was dismissive; I mean, sure, I don't understand his point of view but how is that trying to be dismissive? Yes, his comment pissed me off but that was related to the quadruple post and insulting comments towards the OP, not to the content of his suggestion.

As for the starting crates, the annoyance of trashing it is so minor that one could barely even be annoyed by it - trashing a couple of crates at the start of the game would take all of 2 seconds as you shift click them in to oblivion. Oh damn, how frustrating! I would hate to do that every game... you get my sarcasm yet? If you really feel you don't deserve it or didn't earn it, how is that so hard?

As for players like myself, that 'useless clutter' that you refer to can be given to the guide and we can be enthralled by the prospect of creating such awesome stuff later on, even if it takes many hours of game play to actually reach that level of whatever it is. It's like a small teaser, and enhances the desire to go and explore to find where this weird ore or monster claw you found from the crate actually came from. This is not a crutch - there's really no benefit to having it, as 99% (?) of the time it doesn't actually craft or make anything useful - instead it makes the game more exciting and interesting. "Here's a shiny rock, there's more like it but you have to go find the rest', sort of thing.

I get that you can use cheat sheet or whatever to spawn in random items if you wanted, but that's not the same, is it? There's no narrative to that. I don't play with cheat sheet anyway because, well, the temptation to cheat is way too high!

I hope you don't find my lengthy post 'dismissive'. I think I've proven that I have at least attempted to make sense of what you guys are going on about.

In the future, please use the edit button instead of posting multiple times in a row. Additionally, please refrain from insulting members of this forum, if you think a modders skill isn't up to snuff for your tastes, then simply don't use the mod, there is no need to insult their skill level. Lastly, while I'm of the opinion that all mods for all games should be open source, not every one shares that opinion and that is fine. If a modder doesn't want to release their source code, then that is their choice and there is no need to keep harping on it.

Maybe Figs made you angry, but there's no need to make a dismissive comment

Please remember to report and move on if you think a member has crossed the line with their post.

If you believe that a member has posted rudely, insulted another member, or possibly broken a rule in some other way, then use the report button to let the staff know and we will handle it. *put's down empty box of popcorn* well that was entertaining. <sarcasm mode off>

Ok, so i always ignore insults. And like people before me said, if someone doesn't like it, don't play it. No one forces anyone to do so.
As of my skills, yes i suck, but i don't care. I have fun creating content for my favourite game as a mod. And it makes me happy that people enjoy it. And doing so, i improve my skills. You cannot be just good at something from the start.

And now the main problem. The starting crates. I pointed that many times. The aim of my mod is to create the feeling that old games did. The feeling of discovery, a mystery and a goal. @xsol got my point (but getting angry wasn't really necessary). I thought about that feature, and i change it. And i can tell you right away what the change will look like. There will be an npc, that will daily hand over to one crate for every mod that i support. You will not start with those. And those mod troves will be handed to you up until you defeat first boss. After that This npc will do something else that i will keep a secret for now.

Whoaa... so needless outbursts and meltdowns aside -- @Sapharan I think that's a great compromise by turning this mechanic into something NPC-based. It completely resolves my main gripe with it, while keeping the feel of mystery like you wanted. It's also a great idea to keep the items coming until the first boss -- that way players can dynamically adjust difficulty of the game to help them for longer if they're having trouble. Well done.

Of course, it's your mod so you can take it in any direction you like. If you didn't enjoy or agree with what you were making, it obviously wouldn't be worth doing. I just happen to really like your work as well, so I hope you don't mind constructive counter thoughts/ideas from time to time. And as always, ignore the blatant hate.

Thanks again for all your great work, and thanks for listening.

So ummm.... was this with the latest update...? Many low res dinky looking weapons with crazy materials are showing up. I got a mod to tell me which mod they are from, since i didn't recognize them, and they are from Legends indeed. Is this some WIP thing, no sprites made yet, or something else...? Just asking because it was unexpected, and does not match the quality of the mobs and other items from the mod.

-- Problem solved, turns out i downloaded "Legends of Terraria 1.8" by GalaxyPenguin, not your mod. Pardon the inconvenience.

i don't know if anyones shown you this but theres a visual bug on the necromancer hat the top outline disapears when walking...

I like the look of legend of terraria 3. I know this is gonna be a stupid question but is there any way i can add this in a world/server that has been already made. Im at skeletron on my world but i have a really good house so i dont want to start over. So is there any way i can add this mod?

Legend of Terraria 3 does not generate anything in the world (yet), so you can just install the mod without any worries.

Potential bug: I just installed this mod and I opened my game. I was soon attacked by some sort of golem (mechanical, maybe?) and when it made noises, I got a notice about the sound file it was using, I think. Is this a bug on your end, or because I also have Which Mod Is It From? installed?

Edit: I also got the notice when I picked up a star, so it doesn't seem to limited to things from your mod.
