Earlier today i beat the mechanical bosses and decided to take a break, but when i entered my world again, all of my house's walls (except for the planked and stone walls see screenshot) became "natural" (the kind of wall that you can't pick up when broken and isn't valid for housing).
No other players have even entered this world. is this supposed to happen ? is this related to mottled and craggy stone walls not being obtainable before 1.4 ?

If you updated to 1.4 I’m pretty sure they did stuff like make living trees not valid housing. So if they worked before that was probably because you were able to use natural walls.

i crafted those walls myself and the houses were valid until today. in fact, i crafted them again right after i posted this and they worked perfectly fine until 5 minutes ago.If you updated to 1.4 I’m pretty sure they did stuff like make living trees not valid housing. Did you spray any solutions with the Clentaminator? (Including Green Solution.) The solutions can cause player-crafted walls to revert back to natural walls.

I can understand that it might not be ideal for player-placed walls to change like this, but the flipside is that it can allow players to build their natural Deserts and get enemy spawns. The solution trick only works on walls that can be converted, so it won't work on e.g. spider walls. I don't know if this behaviour will change so I'll mark the thread as Resolved. (The behaviour is known to the developers so they can change it if they choose.)oh.... well that explains it, thanks a lot, man
