Mythical Beasts & Where to Farm Them: Exploring Terraria's Bestiary

...what? i have no idea what you're trying to say... if it's certain personalities you dislike, i fail to see why you need to mention foxes so much.

...i think this is going a bit too far, you start debating her race, then... immediately start talking about her being infected and spreading a real life disease in the game?

guys, i think we need some kinda intervention in this topic, it's kinda going downhill...

you'd think this topic would be filled with excitement and anticipation for the update.

instead, people are spewing prejudiced comments and talking about the new NPC spreading diseases... i am honestly at a loss. :dryadconfused:
We have been monitoring this thread closely and already intervened several times when necessary. The best thing forum members can do when confronted with questionable posts is to simply ignore them, and report them if they're out of line. That helps a great deal in preventing these posts from taking over the general 'mood' of this thread.

Also—Those are parts of her body (Lazure said it "only affects" her ears and tail), which means she has no control over it (presumably). Also, if she is a furry (which you dislike), then you don't HAVE to keep her. Lava exists...
yes indeed good idea and just sayin to be clear didnt mean to start a "thing" here i just ment to state my opinion.

wait what are the 2nd and 3rd things she's selling?
we dont know what are, but is not a shop, those are supposed to be rewards for completing the bestiary.
the first item is a squirrel in a cord? ( maybe a grapplinghook type item)

well.

It may not be the most impactful, game-changing announcement so far, but it is the most pure, no caveats whatsoever improvement. I've long believed that every game needs to make more of its useful gameplay information available to the player directly from within the game, rather than making us go online to find things out, and the addition of a bestiary delivers big on that. Plus, more NPCs? Also great news. Even better with its an NPC with such a cute design. The closest I can come to being critical is hoping that the new NPCs keep on coming. More room fillers mean bigger towns!
I've been curious if the new NPCs were added partially to make the Town NPC Count in 1.4 into a Multiple of 3 so we can have full 3 Person Towns with all the NPCs with no Remainder...? Would be a relief to peeps like me with OCD.

Also curious if Zoologist is meant to be like a Terraria equivalent of a Kitsune...? Zoologist reminds me of Kaiden from Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright, while in his 'normal form' out of Battle with his Beast Stone off duty... (& Selkie... his Kitsune Daughter I made by schmoozing together him & Rynka.)
