Story NPC Chronicles

"Forwards, my loyal steed!"
When giving command, verbs are singular. As in, "Shove off", "jump", ":red: me". Well, unless there are exceptions that missed me.... which seems to be the case here. Ah well, screw it.

So, Razor is now got some kind of a master?

"Simon says" lol

Nah, he's a henchman to the freaking Angler.

Can't fall much lower than that, so now he can only go up.

So, Razor's master is probably twice younger than Razor himself?

I still believe he's just some eternal evil which doesn't age.

Sort of like the girl in my avatar (except she's not evil) who is a few thousand years old.

Where is new chapters?

Chapter One. Razor made a giant tower with the finger on it.

Almost makes me want to build a replica of what I thought, in one of my maps.

Where is new chapters?

My writing schedule is simple to understand yet hard to master: I write whenever I feel like writing. Also, this story is second in my queue, and I've been having ideas for my main story lately, so this one's taken a back seat.

Where is new chapters?
Never rush the artistic mind. Force them to churn the butter like :red:, and :red:ty butter is what you get, most like than not.

Guess what? I felt like writing.

Chapter 10 - Heavy Metal

-----

"So, how do we do this?"

Lunette was with Bunny inside the Crimson, and they were getting ready to smash the altars. There were a lot more of them than before, perhaps they had spawned after the Wall was defeated? In any case, she would have rather have Amy with her, but she knew her friend wasn't quite thrilled to go to a place where spiders were as common as slimes in the forest. Amy had teamed up with Dawn to go to the Corruption, as Dawn had, working along with Xanos, managed to replicate the Pwnhammer - although she had called her version the...

... Ugh, it was almost painful to think about that name. 'The Dawnhammer.'

"Hello? Earth to green lady?"

"Sorry," Lunette apologized, "I was just thinking about something..."

"Heh, I can guess what. Lune and Amy, sitting in a tree, K-I-Z-X-Y-I-Don't-Know-How-To-Spell"

Lunette wasn't sure if she should laugh or grab the Pwnhammer and smack Bunny in the face with it. Probably both. Still, the quirky girl had a point, how to go about breaking the altars? "Okay, here's what we'll do. You break the altars, I'll kill any bug that shows up."

"Eh, you get the fun part."

"You can smack them with that hammer if they manage to sneak past me," Lunette noted.

"Okay, that sounds like fun. Let's go!"

Lunette run after Bunny, who broke three altars in as many seconds, and didn't seem like slowing down. "Hey Bunny, not so fast-" she stopped as something appeared. It was a hideous creature, faceless and skinless, and it floated above the ground as small tentacles wriggled underneath its body. "What in the seven layers of :red: is that?"

Bunny turned around after breaking yet another fleshy altar and smacked the creature in its head, causing it to fly away as the body fell down. "Less talky, more stabby, green lady."

"Uh, yeah, sorry. Still, it was quite a gross creature."

"And it was floaty, too," the Party Girl said. "Wait... 'Floaty Gross'!"

"... That's it, you're not choosing any more names." She looked around and saw some of the walls had turned blue. "It's already working, that's Cobalt."

"So, break ALL the altars?"

The Dryad sighed in defeat. "Go ahead."

-----

Dawn smashed another purple spiky thing to pieces and looked back. "Amy, you okay?"

Amy leapt aside, dodging a ball of greenish spit. "Yeah, will take more than a dozen flying, rotten bugs the size of a house to take me down."

"How about a few dozen shadow-like floating things?" Dawn asked.

"Why do you-" Amy started then turned around. "Oh."

Dawn smashed one of the creatures with her hammer. "They're not that strong, but their numbers..."

Amy smiled. "Numbers mean nothing when you have a minigun that shoots lava."

"Point taken."

-----

And so, three hundred altars later, both parties had made it back to the base with their backpacks full of bluish rocks. Strangely enough, the molten pickaxes Lunette had crafted didn't even scratch any of the red or green ore, something they had decided to ask the Guide.

"It's simple, you need a pickaxe or drill made from Cobalt to mine Mythril, and a Mythril tool to mine Adamantite."

"Why?"

"... Because."

"Because?"

"Because."

"I love it when the universe works in a logical way," Dawn muttered.

Lunette looked at the chest full of Cobalt. "Okay then, time for me to be crafty."

"Need any help?" Amy asked.

"If you help her, she'll take five times as much," Fikod joked.

Lunette frowned. "Keep that up and I won't make you any armor."

As Lunette walked into the crafting area of the base, Bunny was looking around uneasily. "Guys, I feel like someone, or something, is watching us."

"Perhaps you should eat less candies."

"No, seriously, I think someone's out there, watching us."

"Guess I'll have to install a few dozen more lava turrets," Dawn said.

-----

Hours later, Bunny was admiring her new armor in a mirror. "I look badass."

"If you say so," Dawn said.

Amy was checking a new 'gun.' It looked like a crossbow, but it shot arrows instead of darts, and it could shoot almost as fast as her old minishark. "This is amazing. I can't wait to test it in a boss."

"Ugh, Amy, you should know better than saying something like that," Lunette said.

"Oh come on, don't be superstitious."

Bunny grabbed her new, pink cobalt sword and walked to the door. "Boss incoming in five... four... three..."

"You too?" Amy said.

"Two... One..."

A blood-chilling shriek could be heard outside. The NPCs all looked at Amy. "What? Okay, okay, I get it, the universe can be quite a :red:. Sorry."

Lunetter grabbed her two new cobalt weapons and rushed out the door. "Time to go beat whatever showed up."

Garret flinched. "You go get it, girls. We'll stay here and, uhm, provide moral support."

Dawn frowned. "They're a cheerleading squad now. So manly."

"I'll give you some aloe vera for that burn," Amy joked.

Calvin frowned. "Hey, we can fight. We could snipe the boss from afar."

"Just don't hit us," Lunetter warned.

As the group rushed out they saw the boss was huge. No, even 'huge' was an understatement. It looked like a robotic version of the Eater of Worlds, except much wider and its body just kept on coming out from the ground. "What's that thing's name, The Overcompensator?" Pearl joked.

"The Destroyer," Garret noted, "one of three mechanical bosses."

"We didn't summon it, tho," Lunette said, but the answer came to her as soon as she had said that. "That asshat Razor..."

"Let's worry about murdering him later, we have a worm the size of a city to deal with," Dawn said.

Bunny looked at the monster and winced. "I know I'm the crazy one, but I'm not gonna try to ride THAT."

"Garret, is there any trick to beating that thing?" Lunette said, hoping the boss would continue to not notice them.

"The red crystals all around its body are its weak spot. But when hit, they'll release some nasty laser-shooting probes, so be careful."

"Wait, huge red circles as weak spots? What are we, in a first person shooter?" Dawn muttered.

Just then, the creature shrieked again, and started moving to them. It was quite a sight to see, the gigantic body soaring through the air and straight at them. "Okay guys and girls, let's show that thing not to mess with us!"

-----

The fight was quite entertaining, but the stranger wasn't there just to observe. Still, it was important to wait for the right time, so the stranger kept on watching.

The Dryad was brave, as she had started running on top of the creature, poking at each and every weak spot in its body while fending off the probes with a boomerang. The Party Girl seemed to be either as brave, or as crazy, as the Dryad, and was using two long swords to kill probes and poke the worm.

The Nurse was keeping the giant creature distracted by shooting at it and dodging when it charged, while the Mechanic was constantly placing small blue boxes in the battlefield, and a bluish turret popped out of each one of them. And last but not least, the Stylist was throwing large, blue scissors at the boss.

The male NPCs were shooting at the boss from afar. Typical of them. Anyhow, the stranger saw the last probe being destroyed and knew that was the right time to act. The Destroyer's body started glowing as it went into a berserker fit, but the stranger knew the way to stop it for good. Yes, there it was, a single, small red eye in its 'head.'

One shot, one kill. That was the best way to fight.

-----

Lunette saw the Destroyer fall to the ground and explode, its head rolling on the ground and stopping near her. There was a small red eye there, and it had been pierced by something.

"What the heck happened, did we kill it?"

"No, someone else did it," Lunette said.

Bunny growled. "What the hell? They stole our kill? I'M SO GONNA KILL THE MOTHERF-"

"That would be me."

Lunette turned to see a girl wearing a black dress with a top hat. She had black hair and black eyes, and was holding a strange sniper rifle. "Hmph. We had that thing under control."

"A thank you would be enough," the girl said.

Bunny growled at her. "I have several dynamite sticks I want to 'thank you' with. Start running."

"You're a bunch of weirdos. I think I'll fit right in."

"Uh, thanks for the compliment."

Lunette shook her head at them. "Ugh, whatever works. So, what's your name?"

"Hope. I'm a Steampunker." Bunny stared at her for a whole minute, and Hope finally caved in. "What?"

"So, you... Steam punks?"

Hope chuckled at that. "I'll definitely fit right in."

Lunette fell on her knees. Now that the adrenaline rush from the fight was gone, her body was finally catching up to all the laser blasts she had taken during the fight. "Ugh..."

Amy walked to her. "That creature wasn't quite meant to be meleed."

"You're cuter when you don't tell me what I did wrong," the Dryad muttered.

"Flaws make a character," Hope noted.

The Dryad looked at her. "Why did you take so long to get here? You should have been around since we killed that Wall thing."

Hope shrugged. "I got lost."

Bunny started laughing. "I bet you almost lost hope of finding us. Pfffft!"

Dawn sighed. "I don't know what's weirder, her completely random blabber, or the fact I'm starting to like it."

-----

"The Destroyer, huh?" Razor shook his head. "More like the Destroyed."

The Angler growled. "Its defeat is just a minor drawback. Thanks to you, I have the materials I need to revive the other two Mechanical bosses."

"So, just sic both of them at those idiots right away."

"No, I'll send them one at a time."

"... Why in hell would you do that?"

"Because the story will be over too soon if I don't."

Razor sighed and picked up a few hellstone bricks. "I'll be right back."

"Where are you going?"

"Gonna try to fix that fourth wall, it's too broken."

The Angler saw his henchman go and frowned. He could afford to waste a bit of time, as things had progressed faster than expected, thanks to that fool. Yes, soon his Master would awaken and destroy this world, and that fool Razor would be just one more soul to feed the Master's power. Soon...

Seriously tho, brb, gonna fix that fourth wall.

This shiat is good! That's all I have to say, I read the 10 chapters about 2 times.

... Bah. Pretend I'm saying something witty about this chapter here. Now go read it. Please?

Chapter 11 - Eye don't want to go to skull again!

-----

By now, it wasn't surprising for them to know that new gear could be crafted from the innards of the Destroyed, I mean, the Destroyer. The new armors were strong enough to take a direct hit from a dynamite stick without its wearer feeling the blast at all, and the weaponry crafted from it also seemed pretty strong.

Lunette was finishing her new weapon now, a spear she had nicknamed Gungnir. And she had to deal, as usual, with Bunny's crazy questions, like why the spear had "gun" in its name if it didn't shoot projectiles. Heh, that girl was insane. A melee weapon which shot projectiles? That sounded... No, wait, it sounded quite awesome. She would have to find a way to craft such weaponry. Maybe a spear which shot ice? Nah, that would be overkill.

Then again, what was wrong with overkill when enemies kept getting stronger?

"You know, I almost confused you with a statue for a moment there."

Lunette turned to see Amy was in the crafting room. "Sorry, was just thinking about new weapons I could craft."

"You really like creating weapons, huh?" Amy mused. "Still, there's better ways to spend your time."

Lunette smiled and leaned forwards, planting a kiss on the other woman's lips. "I guess you're right. We should go 'explore.'"

Amy giggled. "As long as it's not in the desert, sand is not a nice thing to have around while 'exploring.'"

Lunette was about to say something else when they heard gunshots. "Crap, another attack?"

"Let's find out," Amy said, not quite thrilled that their fun had been interrupted before it could even start.

-----

As they walked out, they saw their allies were already dealing with the issue at hand. But what was attacking them was quite weird, even for their world. An army of moving snowmen, some armed with guns, others with knives, were now surrounding the base, and most of the defenders had taken to the roof to fight them from afar. Still, Lunette could see two of her friends weren't quite content with ranged combat. Bunny was riding her unicorn while using a flamethrower to melt down the intruders, while Pearl was using her brand new hallow scissors (which were almost as large as a bastard sword) to, uh, cut off the enemy's advance.

Still, Lunette knew better than just standing there gawking. She pulled out her spear and charged, noticing Amy had already started shooting at things with her two hallowed repeaters. The snowman army was but a nuisance to them now, so she really had to wonder what point was there to it happening. Unless... No, it surely was just her being paranoid.

The fight lasted long, and the number of enemies seemed to be endless. However, as night started to fall, the snowmen suddenly retreated, vanishing into the distance in a matter of minutes. "Well, that was almost too easy," Bunny noted.

"Bunny, don't say that kind of things," Dawn joked from the rooftop.

Bunny laughed at that and looked up at her friend. "Oh come on, don't be superstiOH:red:WHAT'STHATKILLITWITHFIRE."

Lunette followed Bunny's line of sight, as did the rest of their allies, and they all saw what seemed like two Eyes of Cthulhu bound by a fleshy rope. No, they were different, one had a reddish ring around its blue iris, while the other had a green ring there. Also, they were visibly larger than the Eye.

"Eye think we may be screwed," Calvin joked.

Garret frowned at the bad pun. "Those are Retinazer and Spazmatism, also known as the Twins."

Lunette chuckled. "Well, I was getting ready to play with the twins before this happened, so I guess it all worked out in the end?"

Bunny blinked at that. "What do you-" She then noticed Amy's face had turned an interesting shade of red and figured it out. "Oh."

Hope pulled out a second sniper rifle as the two eyes flew towards them. "Less pointless chatter, more shooting," she snapped at the others.

"Wait, how can you even aim if you're dual-wielding those?" Amy asked.

Hope shrugged and shot, hitting each of the Twins with one bullet. "Scopes are for the weak."

The bosses didn't quite like the attack, so they started shooting as well. Retinazer shot lasers, while Spazmatism threw green fire balls at their targets. The group on the roof leapt off just as the combined attack blasted it to pieces.

Lunette growled and took out a few metal discs. "Oh those :red:ers really did it now. Don't. Destroy. My. Building. Idiots!" She shouted each word as she tossed one of the discs at their foes, and each disc hit its mark. "Hey, I managed to hit them from this far? I guess that was-"

"Don't say it," Amy warned.

"- Bulls eye!"

"... Seriously, Lune."

"I'll make up for the bad puns later," Lunette teased.

"Can I watch?" Dawn asked.

Hope had finally reloaded her sniper rifles (and she realized she needed to get automatic ones for boss fights) and shot at them again. "Really guys, shut the hell up and fight."

The group decided to heed those words, and they all shot what ranged weaponry they had at the two eyes. As the barrage ended, the two creatures started shrieking and spinning, and some of the NPCs cheered.

"Uh, guys, if these two are like the old Eye, that's actually a bad thing," Lunette noted.

"What do you-" Pearl said, then saw bits of the eyes fly in all directions. The Twins were quite alive, but Spazmatism now had a fang-filled mouth instead of its iris, and Retinazer had laser cannon there. "Oh :red:."

Hope shot at them again, but this time the bullets simply bounced off the twins harmlessly. "I second that."

The two creatures started shooting again, this time the lasers were quicker and larger, and the flames came out as a stream. The two attacks reduce the base to a water pulled with bits of charred furniture and wrecked forge stations floating on it, and Lunette glared at the bosses. "Damn it, why are those :red:s blowing our home up?"

"They could be blowing us up," Pearl noted.

Fikod looked up, noticing the Twins weren't attacking. "So, if we kill those things, we'll get more of that Hallowed metal stuff, right?"

"Yes, why?"

The man took out several sticks of dynamite, but they were made of hallowed metal, and Lunette could guess their content was not just plain old dynamite. "What the-"

"Something me, Xanos and Dawn worked on while you were busy crafting gear," Fikod explained. "They're filled with a mix of cobalt, gunpowder and hellstone, which we found to be rather explosive, and the hallowed metal wrapping it acts as shrapnel, further increasing its damage. I call it the L-8-R."

Amy flinched at that. "... 'Later.' Really..."

"It fits, as it's what you'll tell anything you throw these beauties at."

"DO WANT!" Bunny shouted, then took a few of them. "Hmm..." She looked at the sticks then at Amy's repeaters, and snatched one of them from her hands. "Lemme try something," she stabbed a L8R stick with one of the arrows and aimed up, shooting it at Retinazer. The stick flew up and punched right into the cannon, jamming it. "That's gonna be an eyesore."

Retinazer gave a pitiful whine before exploding, its remains flying in all directions. Spazmatism reacted by shrieking loudly and shooting its green flames at the group.

Lunette wasn't as good at coming with crazy plans as Bunny, but she could still improvise. She grabbed a couple sticks of the lamely named explosive, stabbed them through with her Gungnir, and shot the makeshift explosive lance up at the eye-vil creature. One large explosion later, all that was left of the second eye were hallowed bars scattered all around the area.

Well, not all that was left, Lune realized as she looked at Bunny. "Seriously?"

Bunny was wearing what seemed like a piece of one of the twins as a mask, and it somehow had a small iris in it. "What?"

"Let her keep that, she looks better with it."

Bunny took the mask off and glared at Dawn. "You don't have to be so mean, you know?"

"You don't have to be so crazy."

Amy looked at Lunette, who shook her head. She sighed and decided to stop the incoming argument. "You two need to chill. We have to rebuild our home now, and trust me, I was hoping I would be able to do something quite different after this fight. So, can you two get along at least for a while?"

Dawn sighed and looked at Bunny. "Eh, sorry for being mean, I'll try to tune it down."

"Apology accept-" Bunny started, then noticed Lunette's glare. "I mean, sorry for being so quirky. I'll... Ah screw it, I can't promise I'll tune it down."

"Well, at least you're honest," Dawn admitted with a smile.

-----

"All your pets keep on failing." Simon responded to Razor's comment with only a shrug, so he continued. "I hope your 'Master' isn't quite as useless."

"You know nothing about my Master. When the time comes, this world will fall to darkness. But for my Master to return, I need to just do one more thing, then everything will fall into place on its own."

"Are you sure those NPCs will play by your rules?"

"They will want to get stronger, to have better weaponry to fight, and that will, in time, be the very thing that destroys them."

"So, gonna send ROFLbones Mark II now?"

"Yes, unfortunately it can only be summoned at night," Simon explained, then sighed. "And that's not its name!"

"Meh, it sounds better to me."

-----

Rebuilding took a whole day, but the base looked better than before. In a way, Lunette thought, she had to thank the Twins for wrecking the old base. And by 'thank' she meant 'try to find a way to revive them so she could shove even larger quantities of L8R up their irises.'

"Been quite a crazy day."

She looked at Amy and smiled. Things were usually too crazy around them for them to have 'fun', but after the whole 'saving the world' crap was over, they would have time for that. "You sure about this, tho?"

Amy smiled as Lunette looked around the room they now shared. "If I wasn't, I wouldn't have suggested it. It's not like the others don't know."

"And speaking of that, I'll go check if any of them has any complaints about our new base." As Lunette walked out the door, she saw Calvin and Xanos talking in the main hall, so she decided to check on them first. "So, we did a good job with this place, didn't we?"

"That's a given, I was helping," Xanos noted, then laughed. "Just joking. This place looks better now."

"Yeah..." Calvin looked at Lunette and smiled. "You know, when I told you and your girlfriend to get a room, I didn't think you would take it literally."

Lunette shrugged. "Keep that up and you'll be sleeping outside with the spiky ice slimes." She looked around and frowned. "Where are the others?"

"Most of them are helping Dawn, she wanted to build perimeter defenses, since the turrets on the roof aren't a lot of help against bosses."

"Or we could just drag the bosses away from our base," Lunette muttered. "Though I'll admit Dawn's got the right idea, some more turrets out there will help keeping the weakest mobs far from our front door."

"She's not just placing turrets, I heard her talking about fire traps and trap doors we can walk on, but which will open if a monster steps on them."

"Sounds like fun," Lunette said, then thought about what else she could do to kill time. Despite herself, she kept going back to one single thing, and after a few seconds she decided to go for it, and hope nothing happened while they were having fun.

Amy saw her friend walk in and smiled. "So Lune, what happened with-" She was cut off by a kiss. A long one, this time. "Uh, Lune?"

"Let's forget about the others for a while," Lunette said, "I was hoping we could-"

Just then, an explosion rocked the room, and an inhuman shriek could be heard coming from outside the base. Amy saw Lune's face change into a frown. "Uh, I guess we'll have to leave that for later."

Lunette nodded. "Whoever that is, I'm going to spear it so hard the next five bosses that show up will have spears stuck up their-"

"Let's just go and beat it," Amy noted, "and after that's dealt with, I want to hear what you were about to say."

"Okay, I'll bite."

"Actually, I hope you don't."

"... Not what I meant," Lunette muttered as both walked out of the room.

-----

As they both rushed out, they saw their foe, and they both thought the same thing, but Lunette was the one voicing it.

"Really, first a metallic Eater of Worlds, then the Eyes of MetaCthulhu and now that dumbass skull also gets a clone?"

"That's Skeletron Prime," Garret explained, "just like the other two, it's much stronger than the normal Skeletron."

"And just like the other two, it'll just be hallowed bars when we're done with it," Lunette said.

"Overconfidence can be a good mentor, but it's a horrible ally," Hope noted.

"Who needs to be humble when we got these?" Bunny said as she grabbed a quite large pack of Hallowed Bombs - the name had been changed because the old name, quoth the Dryad, "sucked shadow orbs" - and tossed them up. "Amy, think fast!"

Amy smiled and took out her repeater, shooting at all the explosives and pinning the huge skull with all of them. The explosion was rather large, but as the smoke cleared, the massive metal skull was still there, and no visible damage had been done to it.

"Well :red:, that thing is tough," Jake the Pirate said. "But at least it doesn't seem to have anything to attack us with."

As the pirate finished his phrase, four giant, metallic arms rose from the ground. Each of them had a different weapon where a hand should be. Two cannon-like barrels (though it was hard to tell what would come out of those,) a chainsaw (long enough to cut any of the NPCs in half without much effort,) and a vise.

"The one time you decide to talk, and that happens," Pearl muttered.

"I'm not sure what you ARRRR implying, lass."

Hope smiled and put a white bullet in her sniper rifle. "Let's see if this Hallowed thing packs as much of a punch as I think." She shot at the skull, but the bullet simply bounced off. "... That was quite disappointing."

Skeletron Prime was tired of waiting, so it decided to attack. The group dodged the swips and shots as well as they could, but with four different weapons, things looked quite dire. Lunette dodged a burst of laser beams from one of the "cannons" and saw Amy was shooting at the skull with her repeaters. "We need to find a way to get through his... Through his thick skull."

"For once, I won't complain about the pun," the Nurse noted.

"Owowowow let me go you freaking bonehead!"

Lunette saw Bunny had been caught by the vise, and flinched as the saw arm sped towards her. "Bunny, watch-"

Bunny giggled and slid off the vise, causing the saw to split it in half. "Fooled you." The laser arm tried to shoot Bunny down, but the girl dodged all the blasts, then leapt to the side as the saw tried to cut her in half. "Hahaha, you're too slow, Mr. Saw. Hey, that rhymed."

The saw arm apparently had a mind of its own, as it responded to the taunt by speeding up, heading straight for Bunny.

Dawn was just done trying to turret the skull down, and noticed her friend's predicament. ":red:, we gotta help her."

"She'll be fine," Lunette said.

"But-" Dawn saw Bunny leap on top of the arm, dislodging the saw from it and using it to cut the arm in half, right before using her newfound weapon to rip the laser arm in half. That left only the fourth arm, which had kept on shooting bombs at everyone else. With its other arm-aments gone, Skeletron Prime decided Bunny was enough of a threat to focus its attention on.

Bunny smirked. "I wonder, can you explode me before I cut you in half?" The skull shrieked and spikes covered its metallic skin, and it started spinning as bombs shot from its arms. Bunny kicked one of the bombs back at the skull, jumping back before the others exploded. However, the blast range was wider than expected, and she was knocked back, bouncing on the ground before stopping.

Dawn checked on her and flinched. "Amy, heal this crazy girl, I'm gonna take care of this one."

Lunette frowned. "But your turrets-"

"I know, but it's about time I kill a boss."

The Dryad nodded. "Be careful."

Dawn looked at Bunny, who was still out cold, then shrugged. "Why be careful when doing something stupid may work better?"

Pearl saw Dawn walk calmly to the skull, which had stopped its spin and was looking at her confusedly. The others were keeping the bomb arm busy, so Pearl knew Dawn had room for whatever she had planned.

"Hey big guy! Yes, you, the :red:ing ugly metal skull thing." Dawn saw Skeletron Prime's eyes glaring at her. "You hungry?" The Skeletron's eyes showed confusion for a second, before he rushed down, and straight at the Mechanic.

"Oh :red:, did that thing just eat Dawn?" Pearl shouted.

Lunette chuckled. "Oh shoot me with a repeater, how didn't I think of that? That thing's skin is tough, but what about the inside?"

"You mean-" Pearl asked, but before she could say anything else, Skeletron Prime's skull started spinning and shrieking, pieces of it flying in all directions as it slowly descended. By the time it touched the ground, there were just a few bits of metal left intact, and Dawn could be seen standing on them, holding her wrench. "Wow..."

Dawn chuckled. "Stupid thing. It was a mechanical construct. I'm a mechanic. I may not be able to build something like that yet, but I sure as hell can disassemble it."

Bunny was already up, and had seen what Dawn had done with the skull. "That was AWESOME you gotta teach me how to break things!"

"Uh..." Dawn sighed. "Just be more careful, okay? I hate to see my friends get hurt."

Amy looked at Lunette again, but her friend again shook her head. The Dryad seemed to be better than her at reading people, so she would have to trust her judgement on these two.

-----

"So ROFLbones got ROFLb-owned."

Simon glared at Razor. "Instead of standing around making stupid puns, how about you go search for that thing I told you about?"

"Bite me, Fishboy. You could just go do it yourself. Or perhaps you're not as powerful as you boast, and the jungle bugs scare you?"

Simon snapped his fingers, and a dozen lightning bolts fell from above, knocking Razor down to the ground and zapping him. "We have a deal, but that doesn't mean I'll let you mock me or my master. Now stand up and go get that thing."

Razor frowned. He had learnt his lesson well, he knew when he couldn't win a fight. But perhaps he would find something in the Jungle which would let him skewer this kid. He knew he had to wait until he was sure the kid's master would send him back home, but he almost couldn't wait to see the kid's shocked face when he stabbed him through. Soon...

The plot got somewhat thicker again. I don't think eve a Picksaw could dig through it now. And it still has to get thicker before this ends.

ROFLbones Mark II. They should rename Skeletron Prime that...
