EDIT: By the way, i think you may have made your "reverse trump solution" a little too small, as corrption can spread over 4 blocks, not 3 and even if you made it bigger than thorny vines could reach across it.

I wouldn't exactly say this is entirely daily, so I don't think I should say it is in the OP, but I do try to make updates as often as possible so it stays interesting. Whenever i do the reverse trump solution thorny vines reach across the trench and corrupt the other side cuz i keep having grass grow all the wayyyyyyyyyyy down at least 1/3 of the trench

Now bringing you Chapter 19! I'm really glad I went with the melee class so I could start hardmode with really high damage weapons, or doing a hardcore playthrough would be a lot more difficult than it already is.

Just to make a quick update, it looks like I'm going to need to make another new post to put chapters in. Must be making these chapters longer and longer, I only got from chapters 12-19 on the last one, while the first post got to 11. I know it's been a few days since I last updated this, mostly due to me having other things to do, but the series will resume very soon!

I'm back, and I think I've gotten over wasting a philosopher's stone on a charm of myths instead of selling it to the Wizard.

Last time I found out that my Minishark is no longer useful, so I'll temporarily be replacing it with a Shotgun. This isn't the only weapon I wanted to replace though. I just need to take a quick trip to the underground hallow to get what I need for it...

...And there we go, a new yo-yo to replace my Sunfury. So um...what exactly am I going to do with all this new stuff I have?

I've got more Souls of Night than Light, so guess I'll be going with demon wings. Might have to do a little bit more grinding down in the underground corruption, but how bad could that really be?

So, I had an idea recently. The Dryad said a while ago that I can think of the hallow and the corruption like yin and yang, and it's my job to achieve balance between them. I've been thinking REALLY HARD about what I should do about that, and I think I've got it.

So one of the pirates dropped this...looks like it's better than my Night's Edge by a little bit, surprisingly. Could use a better reforge on it though.

Oh, and the painter's back. Good for him. So I'm going to assume that the ice feather I got from the golem is another wing ingredient, so I'm going to go get more souls of flight. When I come back, I WILL BE ABLE TO FLY!...Better, that is.

Chapter 23: Vibrations From Deep Below...

These are Frozen Wings apparently. Guess that should have been obvious since I made them from an ice feather. Getting back to business as usual though, the pirates taught me two things:
First of all, I'm going to need better armor if I'm going to live too much longer, and thankfully I have a mythril drill to get titanium with.
Second of all, I'm pretty sure the Gudie hired those pirates, so I should probably kill him again one of these days.
"Would more needless violence not only make relations between you and the Guide even worse? Surely there is a way to make peace between you two."
"Maybe there's a way, but that's not going to be my way."

How the...how did a Party Girl end up here?
"I found her just earlier this morning. She came here looking...quite dazed and confused. I couldn't simply turn her away, so I invited her to live in our village."
"She can stay here as long as she sells stuff or pays rent. I won't have any freeloaders living here."

So, now my goal is to find as much titanium as possible. The sooner I can get a full set of titanium armor, the better.

Well, searching for these ores has got to be the most boring thing ever. I've been searching for like 2 days now and I don't even have enough for a full set of armor.

The thing he dropped may not be too useful on its own, but maybe there's something I can combine it with.

"Oh good, there's a rumor that I wanted to test out now that I know corrupted mimics are a thing."

Alright, so I made a full set of titanium armor, and now that I know corrupted mimics are indeed a thing, I've heard that they can be created by putting a Key of Night into any regular chest. I'm going to test this theory out.

Ok, so I can call this theory confirmed. Good thing that this time, I have plenty of open space to fight this thing in.

Aw man, all that effort and all it dropped was another hook. It's not even as cool as the Dual Hook I just got either. Well, no matter. I just remembered that I have some dynasty wood that i got from a travelling merchant a long time ago, so maybe it's about time I actually do something with it.

OH COME ON, ANOTHER ONE!? THAT'S THREE, ALMOST ONE RIGHT AFTER THE OTHER! I AM GOING TO HAVE TO CLEAN UP SO MUCH BLOOD...

Chapter 24: Preparing for the Robot Apocalypse!

And so comes yet another blood moon. Actually, this is kind of a good thing since it's raining. You see, as I've found out, the frost core I got from the ice golem I killed a while ago can be used to make frost armor. If I'm not mistaken, that's going to be something I want. Since it's raining AND a blood moon tonight, these are the perfect conditions for finding more ice golems and getting more frost cores.

I KNEW IT! THERE'S ONE HERE ALREADY!

Wow...that was easy. I mean, there weren't any extra enemies getting in the way this time, but I just barely made it out of my last fight with an ice golem.

WAIT IS THIS THE EFFECT OF MY TITANIUM ARMOR? HEY GUIDE, IS THIS MY ARMOR DOING THIS?
"Yeh."
HAHAHA! I AM ONE! I AM MANY! I AM LEGION!
"Calm down, it just creates two afterimages so it's harder for enemies to target you."

Well my old method of golem killing still works at least. With that golem down though, I now have all three frost cores I'll need. I have nothing else to do right now, so I'll go back to building bridges like I was before the blood moon started.

Stopped raining, finally. Too bad there's still a blood moon.

Now that the blood moon is over, HEY DRYAD, TAKE A LOOK AT THESE!
"What about those? They can be made into frost armor, but I believe you already possess better armor."
"Better armor? Since when?"
"Since yesterday. Your titanium armor is superior, both in defense and in its special ability."
"Oh. Will these at least be worth something?"

Anyways, I have a bunch of people I need to kick out of my house, so I'll need to build more housing.

There. That should keep the freeloaders out for at least a little while. So um...what exactly am I doing next.

"Indeed it was. I believe you have the proper armor for the job, but it would be wise to find a cross necklace first. One of those will grant you temporary invincibility after each hit you take. I believe they can be found on mimics."
"A necklace of temporary invincibility you say? Looks like I'm going after some mimics now."

Got a few battle potions and came down here in search of mimics. Found one really quick, but it had a titan glove, not a cross necklace. I might still have a use for this though...

OOOOOOH CRAP HE'S A BIG ONE!
So, strategy. My current status effects are ironskin, regen, soup, swiftness, thorns, hunter, and sharpened. I also have heart lamps and campfires up for additional regen. With any luck all this will be enough for this first fight with the Destroyer. I'm going to mostly be using my Dao of Pow since it deals massive damage, especially to anything with multiple segments, but I'll also be using my Cutlass if the situation calls for it. Aside from that, I'll mostly just be staying in my box here to avoid lasers and be able to see when he's coming.

Hey, speaking of using my Cutlass when the situation calls for it, this would be one right here. If I can't hit a lot of segments at once, no point in using my slower weapon.

But first I'm going to check out what the Steampunker has to sell. This Clentaminator looks interesting, but I can't really afford it right now.

Aside from saving to get that though, I think I'll be trying to get a few more light disks, and maybe some hallowed armor. Sooo...guess I'm waiting until night to fight the Destroyer again!

And that right there is my first piece of hallowed armor. It's going to take a lot more Destroyers to make a full set though, so I'll probably want to go underground and get some more Souls of Night. Maybe I should stop by the hallow too and get enough Souls of Light for another Light Disk.

I'm back from soul farming, I made myself another Light Disk, and I decided I had enough Souls of Night to make another Key of Night. So here we go with another Corrupted Mimic.

Well the damage is good I guess, but nothing like the Swordchucks...those are supposed to cut straight through anything in 2 swings or less...

Kind of does that with these dungeon enemies, but these are kind of weak compared to everything else I'm up against these days...

So um...strategy now I guess? Only buffs I have up right now are swiftness, ironskin, regen, and soup. Probably would have had thorns and sharpened too if I had gotten the time. I'm going to aim for taking out Spazmatism first so I don't have to deal with both of them in their second forms, and I personally find Retinazer easier to deal with. This platform I built should also help with dodging.

Couldn't make much else of use to me, so I made a Fairy Bell. Maybe I can get it to grant me a wish, and after that, at least having a fairy follow me around will provide light.

Chapter 28: Construction Complete!

WHO'S READY FOR A TOUR OF MY NEW BASE?

So, before everything else, I'm going to give a quick tour of my finished base. First off, here's my house. Probably has the fewest changes out of everything here, but I did make some improvements to the roof, improved my alchemy area a bit, and I made a little space to store the dart trap I've been using up until now to scan an area for traps (I probably have good enough defense that I don't need that anymore), as well as the Chain Guillotines that I had hoped were Swordchucks.

Just below my house is this area that I'm currently using as a trophy room/mine enterance.

And just below that is where I would keep my demon alter. IF I STILL HAD ONE!
(He accidentally destroyed it in trying to build around it, to provide some clarification)

Here's what I've done with some of the other houses here. Not much again, just made them look a bit better.

Same sort of thing with these underground houses, and the bridges in this area.

And then here is an airship for the pirate captain.

Here's something I built for the Wizard. Finally he won't be in my house all day calling me Saitama.
"What was that Saitama?"
Exactly like that.

And then finally, almost no improvements to the Dryad's house, aside from a couple waterfalls down there below the...dirt mound...thing. Sorry, couldn't think of much to improve here.

Well anyways, now that I'm done building my base, it's about time for me to protect it a bit better. Specifically, from the corruption.

That's right, I got a Clentaminator finally. About time I got the money for one of these, this sunflower field can only hold off the corruption for so long. Now that I've gotten that out of the way though, I have one major goal:
BEAT SKELETRON PRIME!
Unfortunately it's just getting to be daytime, so I'll have to stall a little bit... hey Dryad, any ideas for what I can do in the meantime?

First time I've been in the jungle since reaching hardmode, I think. First thing I get down here isn't something cool like the stuff I've been getting so far though, but instead a broken old yo-yo.
