PC Random Multiplayer de-sync

Been playing with my friend for a few weeks now and suddenly today we have major de-sync. Not sure what the causes is was when we do internet speed test our internet speed is fine.

Too little information. I'd first try settling liquids, though. That's one of the major sources of desync I've run into. Particularly if not using a dedicated server on a separate machine.

Strictly speaking, it shouldn't. De-sync happens when one computer thinks the state of the world is different than another computer. If they are both loading the same corrupted world, each should process it the same way. Even things like seasonal events are only supposed to be keyed off the system date of the server, dedicated or not, and I'm pretty sure I've verified that under an earlier version.

In the gaming world, de-sync has become something of a catch-all phrase. They might have called some situations with a corrupted world file a de-sync error. Other games do.
