(Please just assume my characters go along with the situation for now. I haven't been feeling too great mentally lately so I'm barely motivated for anything, roleplaying included, and I don't feel comfortable posting in my current state. Sorry for the inconvenience as usual, everyone. I'll be back once I feel a bit better.)

They nod, still in too much pain to coherently say anything else.
Vell, taking note of his grave injuries, gingerly leans down, attempting to drag John over his shoulder and back, shuffling forwards, and depositing him in the chair. He then looks to ARSENAL.

"You might need to.. knock him out.. if you can, I doubt he can sit back... willingly with injuries.. like that."

Vell then turns and staggers to his seat, sitting heavily next to Helanne as a bit more blood dribbles down from his mouth and nose.

ARSENAL's hand morphs into some sort of small syringe, approaching John.

Aurora, while waiting, decides to close her eyes, having finished...securing her harness as best she could.
<...You're just going to make us all forget about this as soon as you're done...aren't you.>
<...That's what I'd do in your position, as soon as you're done dealing with whatever that...god of light is...>
<...I wonder if you can even hear me right now...I'm sure you can...you must be preoccupied...>

Unsure if the Chillet understood him, Pixie decides to just sort of curl the Chillet up in his feelers to hold them closer to him.

Aurora, meanwhile, decides to go up to Vrajlax, lost in thought.
<...>
<I didn't deserve to be saved.>
<Why did they...>
Vrajlax doesn't react, until...

"If I were to operate now, I risk driving the removal pike into your brains, cause near irreversible damage.. same goes with trying to mend wounds.. just hold tight for a few moments until the torrent of stones ends.. please."
The elevator continues to rattle and alarm, the loud pangs and groans from the huge boulders and stones colliding with the top of the bunker ping out constantly.

The rattling and clanging stops for a moment, oddly enough.. but only long enough for a much heavier banging to come from the top of the bunker, everyone getting several seconds of airtime as the bunker slides downwards for a moment before grinding to a halt with a screech.

Massive, thundering footsteps can be heard above, bipedal, several quiet clanks. All goes silent.
The middle of the ceiling begins to sizzle, the warning lights within the bunker flickering heavily as the metal in the middle begins to grow hot, warping slightly downwards.

ARSENAL looks towards the ceiling, remaining silent.

"Everyone.. grab onto something.. now."

Vell is frozen for a moment as he stares at the ceiling, then grabbing Helanne, pushing himself to his feet.

ARSENAL's hands fly once more across the dashboard, the walls of the bunkers clicking and whining as a row of chairs with steel handlebars on either side, along with thick harnesses attached, fold out of five of the six walls, plenty of chairs to accommodate all of the smaller and even slightly above average-sized passengers. The chairs on the dented wall seem unable to open..

ARSENAL strides away from the terminal, wobbling towards Raylen's unconscious form and scooping him up, laying him across one shoulder as she moves to do the same with Nikola, slinging him across her other shoulder.
Vrajlax would leap forward, firing thrusters to launch himself right into one of the seats, claws digging in hard to latch onto it.
Dirowyn, meanwhile, would more or less be dropped into a seat as it opens behind him, him quickly strapping himself in afterwards.

John Sharpfields

As much as he'd see the syringe with fear, he overhears the context and is trying to be as calm as possible.
ARSENAL then approaches, grabbing his upper arm firmly as she jabs the syringe into the crook of his wrist, administering the anesthetic with a quick click and whine from her syringe hand. John would fall unconscious within moments, ARSENAL gently pushing his burned back against the seat as she hastily fastens his harness.

She jogs over to Horn, looking into his eyes.

"Horn.. please clamp onto-.."

She points to the crook of one of the walls, a thick metal slab running from the ceiling to the floor of it.

"That, and don't let go unless I tell you to, okay?"

She then hastily dashes about the room, helping those who haven't helped themselves into seats.

The bunker's lights finally go out as some sort of red, plasmatic blade rips through the top of the bunker, slowly pushing down as molten metal drips into the middle of the bunker's floor. With a final shove, it finally rips all the way through, a dark, blocky metal fist behind it punching through as well, then ripping back up with the massive spear of coral still blazing, tearing a gaping hole into the bunker's roof. ARSENAL dashes towards the still lit terminal, the sound of her fingers creaking and popping as they whirl across the terminal soon drowned out by a few massive footsteps from above. A red light shines radiantly from above as the sound of something gargantuan igniting and charging begins to slowly crescendo. A cluster of various sized red lights glow from the still molten tear in the ceiling, brighter than the already radiant light above.

"HOLD ON!"

ARSENAL clicks a final button, and the sides of the bunker let out a whine, followed by a resounding click.

The subjects inside the bunker feel weightless for a moment, the sound of rushing air audible from the bunker's open roof. The massive machine above gives a few alien clicks before beginning to raise the tip of a monumental weapon, swirling and shaking as gigantic currents of coral ripple across its surface. Those within the bunker, along with the machine, slam into rock, the bunker's floor denting slightly as it bounces, everyone within feeling the whiplash. The machine above is spent sprawling, letting out some sort of low roar as a bright flash of red ignites from the gap in the ceiling, followed by a low, droning screech, soon fading into silence.

The bunker slams into stone again, this time from its side, bouncing off with another clank, and then again.. and then again...

And again...

and.. again...

The Subjects feel the telltale ache of their Amnesia Drives as their bodies go limp, bounced violently about and rattled as they slip into unconsciousness.

[THE PROTCOL] slams both little fists into his terminal's controls, kicking his metal legs violently.

"DAMMITDAMMITDAMMIT:red:ING:red::red:ING-"

He punches out at the terminal's array of screens, his arms too short to make contact, instead, causing him to slide forwards, dangling off of his seat by the cables connecting him to his throne. He goes still.

"ARUGHHHUUH... - H-HAND, HELP ME UP."

A massive machine strides out from the dark corner of the mess of cables and machinery, which could hardly be called a room, dimly lit and red. The machine reaches the throne, disproportionately large for such a small creature to sit on, extending a hand with a quiet click and whir as he grabs [THE PROTOCOL] gingerly across the fleshy torso, pulling him back to his seat. They then stride back, head and torso once again obscured by darkness. Their digitigrade legs quietly shifting and whirring, one clawed metal hand clenched into a loose fist, the other arm consisting of a massive gun of some sort, only the extended edge of the barrel visible.

The throne hastily swivels, the little kobold within addressing their visitor, the mass of various lenses and lights upon their head and face slowly shifting, turning, igniting, and whirling to face the new arrival. Behind the throne, on the terminal screens, a view of devastation can be seen. The various screens show both the view of Solitarus below, a gaping mass of smoking dents, a central crater far deeper than the others. The severed arm of the massive N-F MATRIX model a mere black dot within one of the outlying craters. A massive ring of dead grass and debris extends further, creating a large ring on the planet visible from orbit. Another camera pans to the sky, the barrier far above the planet set to mimic a sky is torn to bits, traces of blue, artificial sky flickering on in places as the dim red sun shines a weak glow through the dust and smog in the air, beams of almost molten looking red light wafting gently through the thick and hazy sky, a lightly greyed and dirty sky visible past the projected one.

"RIGHT HAND, SINCE I'VE KEPT YOU AROUND FOR QUITE A WHILE NOW WITHOUT ANY ACTIVE DUTY, I FINALLY HAVE A MISSION FOR YOU."

The machine doesn't move.

"SUBJECT GROUP 04 HAS SEEMINGLY EITHER DIED OR ESCAPED IN A COLLAPSE CAUSED BY THE DETONATION OF THAT SOL, ALONG WITH THE REMAINS OF ANOTHER SOL WITHIN THAT DILAPIDATED FACILITY, I NEED YOU TO TAKE THE SUBTERRANEAN ASSAULT MINER UNIT AND EITHER CONFIRM THEM AS DEAD.. OR DO IT YOURSELF, I DON'T EXACTLY :red:ING CARE WHAT HAPPENS, AS LONG AS THOSE WORTHLESS MEATBAGS DON'T POSE ANY SORT OF RISK.."

As he says this, he raises a palm, a display projecting as some sort of massive cylindrical object twirls across the screen. [THE PROTOCOL] taps at it a few times before swiping it away.

The machine kneels, dipping their head.

"AND XYLITH.. PLEASE DO NOT COME BACK IF YOU CAN'T GET THIS DONE.. I'M GETTING SICK AND TIRED OF FAULTY UNITS."

Xylith raises his head, narrow, pupil-like black lens constricting within his red oculus.

"It will be done, Lord PROTOCOL."

The world begins to return in faint noise, sounds, colors, traces. It feels impossible to move, the bodies of the group utterly exhausted, loose and tired. Slowly, voices come into perspective, faint and ethereal. One speaks with a hint of an accent, formal, mid-toned, roughly middle age, polite. The other retorts briefly,

"..when they .. .. wake up?"

"Watch .. .. them, they ..."

"Even the machine? Why would ..."

"Who else could've .. .. that hell?"

"Their memories are likely foggy from the Drives, at least let them stay a while so that they may regain their strength, and their thoughts."

"Your Brilliance I-"

"I decree you do it, if it's come to that."

"Of course then, It shall be done, Your Radiance.."

As faint, ginger footsteps subside, the other individual still present sighs, an odd static now audible within their voice, as if spoken through a high quality microphone, good, but still artificial.

After another few moments, the group feels that they may finally awaken, enough strength present within them to open their eyes. In doing so, they would find themselves amidst the central hall of a massive, mostly stone and plaster chapel.

The walls are a faded and very dull greenish tan, massive stained glass windows, now merely a distorted glassy dull white, lining the huge and wide hall, as tall as the towering ceilings, which arced as the walls ended, a massive arch vaulting above with supporting pillars in place. At the end of this massive, stone-floored room rises a goliath statue, albeit broken. The head of the figure lies upon the ground, or at least, what's left of it, the outline of a humanoid head, all facial features worn away. They carry a sheath on their body, the upper torso fallen to bits, one arm missing entirely, the other drooping towards the blade, extended fingers eroded by time. Their legs are humanoid in nature as well, retaining the details of armor, adorned with insignias of light and the sun. The entire church of sorts is dimly lit, teal colored moss emitting dull light from where it grows across the walls and ceiling of the chapel. Above the statue sits a massive dome with a stained glass skylight resembling a sun, arcs of light tracing down and out to the edges of the dome. Upon the dome are faint outlines of something, seemingly the only thing within the chapel still intact, flecks of painted color present. A pile of something, something glowing, and a single, black, ominous figure opposite it, flecks of red flowing from their formless shape, converging into an ominous, single red point, an eye. Atop the pile stands a figure, their form mostly faded, but wearing a slanted straw hat, crouched offensively, and drawing a blade.

A faint crackling and popping comes from the direction of the statue. As their strength returns, the group would find themselves laying on soft, old, and teal blankets rimmed in grey fur. A similarly colored teal carpet, faded and worn, traces down the entire length of the monumental chapel. As they begin to rise, they would find their minds foggy, but ultimately reassured at this seemingly safe place of rest. The floor, made of grey stone bricks, is entirely empty, aside from themselves, which only occupy the back half of the room, an arcing doorway and open double doors leading to another room beyond, equally dimly lit.

The crackling and popping continues, a large, nearly seven foot tall figure limping towards them. Their skeletal metal feet clank gently against the stones, dull pants covering the quiet whirring of their legs. Their muscular, fleshy crimson torso is covered by a diagonal robe across one shoulder, faint and teal in color, with a sleeve that leads down their arm. Their head is just as crimson and fleshy, black metal horns extending from their sides. They lack a jaw entirely, black metal teeth in a neat row below their skull, a bit of malformed flesh where a jaw would reasonably be. Their face, mostly devoid of features aside from a skeletal nose, and grey blindfolded eyes, shines with a crooked and large gem, alternating between yellow, pink, and purple in a captivating wash of color. Their left, uncovered arm is muscular and fleshy, their right seems little more than a black metallic skeleton. As they stride slowly towards the group, they seem to be carrying two large, tall, and narrow clay-like pots by metal handles.

Noticing that the group is up, the figure calmly sets down the pots, offering a gentle bow, body popping and clanking as they do so.

"Greetings, weary travelers, welcome to the Second Shrine of the Sols, Tsae."

John Sharpfields

The human wakes up again, hoping that the wounds he had were treated well enough. As to test it, he would sit on the floor. "L...look... the world h-had gone c-crazy... ow, it still hurts... the burns, I... mean." He even is willing to overlook the looks since he just had a near-death experience.

Ulyssia

The Chillet springs up, catching the sounds of the figure and tilting her head in the curiosity. And her eyes spark from the sight of a gem.

Akyrassha

Whimpering, the Fennix wakes up, and appears to get some distance from everything. She still limps.

<Damn...>
<And here I was...heh...>
<...My soul won't forget...puppeteer...>

Aurora quickly shoves Yrivi's earing between two of the pearls in her necklace.
...
Too bad she didn't quite get it shoved in very well. Probably because she was too busy falling unconscious.

"I decree you do it, if it's come to that."
Aurora, struggling to comprehend the words, struggles to force herself to alertness.
<...Wh...huh...?>

Pixie starts to stir, words not really registering in his mind.

"Of course then, It shall be done, Your Radiance.."

As faint, ginger footsteps subside, the other individual still present sighs, an odd static now audible within their voice, as if spoken through a high quality microphone, good, but still artificial.

<I...missed something. Didn't I.>
<...Almost reminds me of...old times...>
<Before...foolishly going through that old...portal through time...>

Pixie, meanwhile, is jolted into attention by the footsteps.

After another few moments, the group feels that they may finally awaken, enough strength present within them to open their eyes. In doing so, they would find themselves amidst the central hall of a massive, mostly stone and plaster chapel.
Aurora quickly reforms herself, looking around, floating up a little bit, but obviously still weak, only hovering about an inch off the ground, eyesight still cloudy.
...
She notices on the ground a certain dice earring right next to her. She picks it up quickly, holding it in her right wing.
<...Feels...natural...>
<And yet I've...>
<...Have I...seen this earring before?>

Aurora looks around at everyone else around. It seems quite plain to her that realistically, if it were to have previously been on anyone else's body, it wouldn't have been right next to her when she woke up.
<...Ok...I and all these random people are all sprawled out on the ground...>
Aurora just starts looking around as she gets up.
<...Damn...feels like I was just in a fight...a bad one...>

Pixie just kind of growls, confused at why he feels so banged up, opening his eyes as he notices his new bandages.
<...Huh?>

The walls are a faded and very dull greenish tan, massive stained glass windows, now merely a distorted glassy dull white, lining the huge and wide hall, as tall as the towering ceilings, which arced as the walls ended, a massive arch vaulting above with supporting pillars in place. Aurora near immediately defensively floats back, Shadow Ball, goopy, starting to form in her left wing already, though already teetering a bit.
...
She lowers it slowly, unsure if the figure with the blade is focused on them.

Pixie, meanwhile, is just concerned...mind still groggy.

A faint crackling and popping comes from the direction of the statue. As their strength returns, the group would find themselves laying on soft, old, and teal blankets rimmed in grey fur. Aurora, with a surge of fury, pushes herself up into the air, forcing herself to float at her usual height about 4 feet off the ground.
She is decidedly not reassured by the "safe" place as she looks around properly, assessing her unfamiliar surroundings.

Pixie gets up on his feet, looking around.
<...This place...>
<It feels...>

Aurora, shaking off her thoughts, immediately starts trying to read the figure's emotions, trying to figure out their game passively as she starts to speak.
"...What's your name?"

Horn looks at everyone else to see if they're all alright.
Akyrassha

The Fennix, minus its one leg and all the limping, is pretty alright, all things considered.

Ulyssia

The Chillet appears to be in OK condition, most minor cuts and a major one covered in bandages, and only things barely visible being bruises.

John Sharpfields

Barring him grumbling about the burn pains and trying to recall events and people but failing to, he's mostly fine. Minus all the burns that are covered and treated, hopefully, in bandages. "W...wait, h-have we all... met yet?"

Horn looks at everyone else to see if they're all alright.
(Still demotivated and busy with multiple things (only really on to investigate something else), but feels like I might as well reply to this at the very least.)
??? is about as okay as someone can be in their situation. In other words, physically they're alright, mentally they probably are far from it. (I'm practically dead inside and Lunus is still resting, does that sound like "alright"?)
Sona... I guess he's sort of alright.

The skin upon his back still feels tender, but the wound seems to have mended in full.. the memories of such a wound even being there are hazy. Running, rumbling, explosions, pain, so.. so much pain. Falling... But it seems to be done now, he feels as if this nightmare is finally finished.

Ulyssia

Whimpering, the Fennix wakes up, and appears to get some distance from everything. She still limps.
The limp seems more like a reflex at this point, a conditioned response to her injuries.. which now no longer seem to inhibit her movement. Brief flashes of the damaging of her leg flash through her mind, leaving just as fast.

A flash of violence darts through her mind, blood splattering across her face, the warm flecks of it able to be felt for a moment as she remembers.. someone died, and she saw it.

Pixie just kind of growls, confused at why he feels so banged up, opening his eyes as he notices his new bandages.
<...Huh?>
Rattling violently, he remembers falling, hard and fast, body cracking and whipping against the seats, breaking..

He feels fine now, body still aching, but the wounds he can remember being inflicted upon him now seeming to have been mended.

Aurora, shaking off her thoughts, immediately starts trying to read the figure's emotions, trying to figure out their game passively as she starts to speak.
"...What's your name?"
The figure is slightly confused, but generally flowing with empathy, hints of reserve lingering amidst their kindness.

"I am Diviner Venevo, you may simply call me Venevo if you would prefer it that way."

He looks down at himself, gesturing with his organic arm.

"Please forgive my rather gruesome appearance.. I am making due with the resources I was given."

"I am the sole caretaker of this aging Shrine, and as such, since you all have been brought here by His Radiance, it is within my mandates to care for you all."

Horn looks at everyone else to see if they're all alright.
Everyone seems to be present.. aside from Vell, Helanne, and ARSENAL.

Raylen is rubbing his eyes nearby, his augmented parts still moderately damaged, but his severed forearm reattached. He gives Horn a knowing, confident look that few of the others can match currently, staggering to his feet and approaching Horn to hug the side of his head.

"I'm so glad you're okay.."

He then stumbles back a bit, looking around.

"W-Where's the robot lady?"

Venevo strides forwards, looking at Raylen.

"Your remaining friends, the weathered old man with the fox ears, the young girl who looks to be his kin, and the... machine.. are all within another room, still undergoing healing. His Brilliance found several canisters of mending nanites within the capsule you all arrived in. Usually, you would've undergone illuminant transmutation to regenerate your flesh, but My Lord's powers can only extend so far. Mending all of you so rapidly as to ensure you all survived would be nigh impossible with his current state. I am sure you all are quite familiar with mending nanites as Subjects.. but then again, it is hard to gauge how much you remember.."

"W...wait, h-have we all... met yet?"
Venevo sighs sadly, looking at all of them.

"I can only hope you remember in due time.. all of you."

"As Subjects, you must've gone on some amazing adventures together.. Painful, and yet exhilarating, I've heard it described."

Nikola wakes up.
"...Where..?"

"...Looks like I'm on my own now. Good riddance."

"We are keeping the machine in its current state for now. It has been mostly destroyed during the arrival that you all underwent, but still remains intact. His Radiance acknowledged its final wish before it went offline. The wish was to aid all of you, thankfully he was not opposed."

"If suitable conditions are reached, perhaps the machine will be reawakened long enough to be used for questioning, then destroyed entirely."

Raylen's eyes go wide during Venevo's speech, his metal fists balling.

"HEY! You can't just kill ARSENAL! SHE'S THE ONE THAT GOT US HERE!!"

His screaming is enough to awaken those who still remain unconscious..

Venevo looks down at him, tone still cold.

"The machine is already dead. It has simply been left that way."

Horn rumbles happily.
"Same."

Venevo glance to him, voice audibly colder.

He growls and stares at Venevo.
"Fix it."

Venevo glance to him, voice audibly colder.

A slight smile appears on Nikola's face. He has mixed feelings about this, but he clearly agrees with the decision.

"We're in a church, Raylen. If you're going to yell, please do so quietly."

A flash of violence darts through her mind, blood splattering across her face, the warm flecks of it able to be felt for a moment as she remembers.. someone died, and she saw it.
Aurora only slightly tenses up as the figure approaches her.
<...death...>

Rattling violently, he remembers falling, hard and fast, body cracking and whipping against the seats, breaking..

He feels fine now, body still aching, but the wounds he can remember being inflicted upon him now seeming to have been mended.
<...hm...>
Unsure what this memory means, Pixie sort of just trots up to the first familiar thing to him - Aurora.
<...Maybe this Misdreavus knows something...>

The figure is slightly confused, but generally flowing with empathy, hints of reserve lingering amidst their kindness.
<...They don't seem deceptive...>
<But feelings don't show one's true thoughts...they only hint at them...>
<Either this guy's legit or he knows what he's doing.>

"I am Diviner Venevo, you may simply call me Venevo if you would prefer it that way."

He looks down at himself, gesturing with his organic arm.

"Please forgive my rather gruesome appearance.. I am making due with the resources I was given."

"I am the sole caretaker of this aging Shrine, and as such, since you all have been brought here by His Radiance, it is within my mandates to care for you all."
Aurora just sort of stares at them, before she looks away, trying to remember anything else about who this person she saw die was. She attempts to play it off as just looking around again.
"...Memories. Drives."
"I heard those words being exchanged."
"My memories are foggy..."

Off-handedly, she tries looking at the dice earring she picked up. Yrivi's, of course. She spaces out a bit...

Pixie follows Venevo.
<Pretty sure this guy seems to know everything I want to know...>
Aurora, coming back to her senses, follows suit.

Venevo sighs sadly, looking at all of them.

"I can only hope you remember in due time.. all of you."

"As Subjects, you must've gone on some amazing adventures together.. Painful, and yet exhilarating, I've heard it described."
"...Why do I get the feeling I wouldn't know either way..."

"..."
Aurora narrows her eyes as she catches up to Venevo, before looking around at all the Subjects in the room.
"...You must really know what you're talking about then, huh."
"I don't jive with people very well. I don't think I have all the details, but I'm pretty sure I hated my entire time as a "Subject."
"I dislike you already, Venevo. And all of you..."

Aurora looks at the rest of the subjects in the room.
"..."
"I hate you all."

Venevo glance to him, voice audibly colder.

"We are keeping the machine in its current state for now. It has been mostly destroyed during the arrival that you all underwent, but still remains intact. His Radiance acknowledged its final wish before it went offline. The wish was to aid all of you, thankfully he was not opposed."

"The machine is already dead. It has simply been left that way."
"...Good. Last I checked, robots are untrustworthy anyway."

Pixie looks up at Aurora, frowning.
"Well, aren't you just rainbows and roses to be around."
"SHUT THE HELL UP."
Aurora, scowling, already starts floating away, looking around for the nearest exit.

Pixie just sheepishly looks at Aurora, before looking around at everyone else. He silently shrugs to himself, more mumbling to himself as he looks back to Venevo...more interested in gathering information.
"...Ghost types will be ghost types, I guess."

Akyrassha

The Fennix looks- glares at Aurora, her stare feeling like daggers, hearing the hateful words, as she growls.

Ulyssia

The Chillet, offended by the ghost, raises up menacingly, stomps the ground with left hindfoot and roars, albeit her roar isn't as loud or in fact, threatening, as a real dragon's.

John Sharpfields

He'd look to Pixie. "I was owner of another one. Grime. While not necessarily such a killjoy, they loved to be a nuisance, that's for sure."

As for Venevo, he would... ask a simple question. "What time it is, even? I think- grh..." Aaand he's hungry. Hungry and thirsty. "Excuse me, I just need supplies... maybe, we."
