“Thank you Horn, these should do nicely.” They blink to slice the bark from a section of the log. They start carving little simples into the bear wood. “This should help keep track of the going ons here.”

“No I do not. Do you think it would be a good idea to keep logs in case anything suspicious were to happen?”

“…Probably should find someplace safe to hide that.”

He would then try and find Sentinel, as he remembers he has unfinished business with him..
((I did have Sentinel show Vell his powers as far as building things,))
"Oh. Well, let us see..."
*Sentinel holds out one arm, and dust from the air begins to coalesce into a pillar.*
"I can create physical objects from dust."
"However, they are not as sturdy as objects made from regular materials, so it would likely be best to create something from other materials and patch it up with dust."
((Here.))
((Sorry about literally not coming onto the site until now, yesterday was the busiest day of my whole week.))

A massive machine, maybe 30 feet tall with digitigrade legs and a large thruster array on its back, carrying a huge rifle, slams into the ground just behind the vanishing of the ship. It looks around at the group, bolstering its weapon.

“Area clear. Wipe them.”

Everyone would begin to blank out, pain in their heads as the machine shoots back into the air, vanishing into the sky in mere seconds.

Within moments though, they would all wake up again. The sun is now rising. Seems they were all so tired that they just laid down at random and fell asleep. How odd.

Vyttria? Never heard of her.
Miar is disoriented, and takes a deep breath in order to focus his hearing.

(I know.. a memory wipe would've disturbed Vell's ability to reply to that since they were all forced to sleep. That's why I'm having Vell try and find him again.. and I was wondering what Sentinel might be doing so that Vell doesn't just conjure up audience with him by speaking)

((Oh, I must've missed the wipe. Oops))
*The Sentinel is sitting on the ground in the camp, and appears to be doing some form of meditation. Visible waves of dust are flowing around him as he does so... Notably, he is not holding the bone staff that Vell saw him with last.*

Upon getting somewhat close to the dust field, Vell just stops and crosses his arms, his one eye looking curiously and silently at the odd form of meditation going on before him.

*After watching for a short time, it may become apparent from the Sentinel's expression that rather than relaxing, his mind is actually very much at work. Could this be some kind of ritual..?*

Vell decides to keep waiting for a minute or two to see if he might finish up soon..
*Sure enough, the dust slowly starts to disperse, and once is has, the Sentinel seems to break from whatever trance he was in*
"Ah, someone was here... I do hope I haven't kept you waiting for long. I was attempting communication with my master..."
"It didn't work."

"No, it's fine.. it was quite interesting to watch anyways.."

"I'm here to finish our chat about the making of a shelter.. that odd bout of tiredness seems to have cut our conversation short.."

"Is now a good time or..?"

(coincidentally I have to leave)

((Alright, I'll just put the response here for when you get back.))
"Oh, yes. It is. The type of magic I would use for such a thing requires very little effort on my part, albeit having to be sustained..."
*The sentinel reaches out one arm and dust from the air begins to coalesce into a wall. This one is not very large, being used purely for demonstration.*
"The main issue with such a thing is that dust... is not too sturdy of a material, as one could guess. But as long as no one intends to break down the wall forcefully, I will simply have to supply it with more material as time goes by."

Vell seems pretty intrigued by the whole process, watching with a professional, but still undoubtedly curious, glance.

"Is there a limit to what you can construct in terms of size?"

Aurora, meanwhile, goes off to watch the perimeter again.
...
Off-handedly watching Vells' conversation with Sentinel from a distance.
<...I keep forgetting to get names.>

"Is there a limit to what you can construct in terms of size?"
"Theoretically, with an infinite amount of dust, I could continually funnel magic to create something very large."
"But..."
"Such a construct would be unstable. I doubt it could be sustained for very long, if at all."
