When the Gold Gun/Platinum Guns are added to this suggestion, these will be able to be made w/ 50 Ebonstone/Crimstone blocks.

That's it for now! Thanks for reading!

Arrow speed is too slow.
We can have early game bows so why not early game guns?
For the same reason there's no early-game rocket launchers, and because grenades are available early enough that the Demolitionist is easy to get, allowing players to quickly get bombs and, from that, guns, rather quickly.

Then make the arms dealer require a certain gun or guns better than that gun to move in

The thing is, that is a part of progression, and the Goblin Invasion is nowhere near that threatening. Just two lava pits will deal with most of them, and the Minishark also helps.

It fits together perfectly,

You get early Game guns

You get early Game bows.

And the arms dealer is still the same difficulty to "unlock"

And these aren't amazing megashark/SDMG guns or anything. They're just itty bitty guns that give the ranged class more pre HM options

It doesn't interrupt progression. It just gives you more options.

Lava pits require going deep into the caverns. And you need a lava charm if you accidentally fall in.
Also, the gun can be crafted with a Platinum/Gold gun and 50 corrupt stone, so you can get the minishark before fighting the goblins. And they won't interrupt you in the middle of your bickering. They're also suprisingly hard to kill even with corrupt armor. And keep coming.

It does interrupt progression, as the very idea of progression is gradually obtaining more options. This just plain gives one almost at the start.

Then, what would be the point of breaking the orbs?
They're not really tough, either. Lava pits just make it faster, but they're more annoying to kill than anything.
Finally, goblins don't usually come upon breaking a Shadow Orb, and they also require having at least 200 health, which probably won't be done by the time the orb is smashed.

I just want to add more guns early-game, okay? There isn't very much of them pre-HM. And it's very easy to obtain, and would be very useful.

but so early-game? Why don't you, say, make a weaker CAR and make it sold by the Arms Dealer or found in the Dungeon, or generally take some other gun variant that is underused and doesn't appear at that stage of the game and make a pre-HM gun that has that behavior?

This suggestion is called Ore Guns.

@TMB50 Jesus, man. You're just repeating the same things that've already been disclaimed. There's millions of people playing this game, and I'm sure the newbies would appreciate a taste of every kind of weapon at the start so they know what path they'd like to take in terms of weaponry types.
