Snickerbobble
The Painter
The Clentaminator is a great biome creating and destroying tool, however there are a few issues with its solutions.
I will be splitting solutions into groups. You will also notice some renames, resprites, and changes in effects.
The block cycles are as follows:
Dirt-Mud-Snow-Sand
Stone-Mudstone-Ice-Sandstone
Clay-Compact Snow-Hardened Sand
Silt-Slush
Dirt Group
These solutions will convert grass into their corresponding biome's grass, as well as transform Mud into Dirt to allow further growing.
- Spreads the Purity
- Sold by the Steampunker when she lives in the Purity.
- Spreads the Corruption
- Sold by the Steampunker during a Blood Moon or Solar Eclipse, on Corruption worlds, or in the Graveyard biome in Crimson worlds that are in hardmode.
- Spreads the Crimson
- Sold by the Steampunker during a Blood Moon or Solar Eclipse, on Crimson worlds, or in the Graveyard biome in Corruption worlds that are in hardmode.
- Spreads the Hallow
- Sold by the Steampunker when she lives in the Hallow
If it's desired for a patch of Jungle to become a normal Forest, spraying Green Solution will convert all Jungle Grass into Grass and all Mud into Dirt. Spraying another patch of Jungle with Purple Solution will transform it into Corruption Grass and Dirt. See further below on how to save the Jungle.
Mud Group
Similar to the Dirt Group, these solutions will instead transform Dirt into Mud, along with converting grass tiles to their respective biome type.
- Spreads Glowing Mushrooms
- Sold by the Truffle
- Spreads the Jungle
- Sold by the Steampunker when she lives in the Jungle
Spraying Lime Solution throughout a Crimson biome will transform Crimson Grass into Jungle Grass, Dirt into Mud, and Crimstone into Mudstone*. The same with Blue Solution for the Mushroom biome.
It would be a natural stone found within the Jungle in place of Stone. Spraying Lime Solution on any Stone type will convert it into Mudstone, which can be reverted back into any of the other Stone types. Blue Solution will transform any Stone into Mudstone as well.
Snow Group
The White Solution will convert Dirt, Mud, and Sand into Snow; Clay and Hardened Sand into Compact Snow; Stone, Mudstone, and Sandstone into Ice; and Silt into Slush.
- Spreads the Snow
- Sold by the Steampunker when she lives in the Snow
It would occasionally be found within the snow biome, becoming more common deeper down. It's grouped as Clay-Compact Snow-Hardened Sand.
The Beige Solution will convert Dirt, Mud, and Snow into Sand; Clay and Compact Snow into Hardened Sand; and Stone, Mudstone, and Ice into Sandstone.
- Spreads Sand
- Sold by the Steampunker when she lives in the Desert or Ocean
Terra Group
The Terra Solution is special- it's just like the Green Solution, but protects blocks from natural spread! The only way for blocks to convert after being sprayed with Terra Solution is if the player sprays or uses other biome-changing items, or if the protected block is mined and replaced.
- Spreads the Purity and protects blocks from natural spread
- Sold by the Steampunker when the Moon Lord has been defeated
Liquid Group
These solutions would work slightly different from the others, in that a single spray on a liquid tile will convert the entire body of liquid (or perhaps, longer sprays needed depending on body size- 20 solutions to convert the ocean). This is so differing liquids won't collide during conversion.
- Converts liquids into Water
- Sold by the Steampunker when she lives at the Ocean
- Converts liquids into Lava
- Sold by the Steampunker when she lives in the Underworld
- Converts liquids into Honey
- Sold by the Steampunker during a Full Moon
These solutions are more meant for builders, as there's not much use to them in normal play. For example, if you want to build a fortress half submerged in lava, you have to remove all the lava, build, refill all the lava, and if you want to expand more, you'll have to repeat the whole process again. With these solutions, just a spray of either Aqua or Golden solutions will let you build more freely inside liquids, then convert back with Magma for lava again.
Fan Biome Solutions
Pay no mind to these if you're only interested in Vanilla-related content. Just doin' this for fun!
Cream Solution
Black Solution
Emerald Solution
Silver Solution
Azure Solution
Pay no mind to these if you're only interested in Vanilla-related content. Just doin' this for fun!
- Spreads the Confection
- Sold by the Steampunker when she lives in the Confection
- Spreads the Sensation
- Sold by the Steampunker during a Blood Moon or Solar Eclipse, on Sensation worlds
- Spreads the Gully
- Sold by the Steampunker when she lives in the Gully
- Converts liquids into Quicksilver
- Sold by the Steampunker when she lives in the Depths
- Converts liquids into Myrrh
- Sold by the Steampunker when she lives in the Gully
Nozzle Modes
Different nozzle modes have different effects on clentaminating. When in use, the Clentaminator will change appearance according to nozzle type as well as which solution is in use.
Normal Nozzle
- This is the Clentaminator as you know it. It spreads to about screen length.
Small Nozzle
- The Small Nozzle is for more precise spraying, only reaching 12 blocks
in front of you. However, solutions will be consumed half as quickly as normal. - Sold by the Steampunker at Night, along with the current available solution
Solidifying Nozzle
- With this nozzle, spraying Aqua Solution over Lava or Honey will transform liquids into Obsidian and Honey Blocks, respectively. Magma Solution on Water and Honey will make Obsidian and Crispy Honey, and Golden Solution on Water and Lava will result in Honey Blocks and Crispy Honey.
- Sold by the Steampunker when she lives in the Snow biome
Fill and Drain Nozzle
- This nozzle uses liquid solutions to fill in Fill mode, or drains in Drain mode.
- Sold by the Steampunker at on Full Moons
, not Empty Moons. - Would look different than Small Nozzle in use. Currently don't have access to an animating program, sorry. Same for the next nozzle..
Large Nozzle
- This nozzle sprays solutions twice as far, and triples the width. Uses Solutions more quickly.
- Sold by the Steampunker on New Moons.
Toggle-able Modes
With the above modes using a Grand Design-like selection with right click, you'd be able to toggle between the ability to simply clean/infect, or replace biomes. For example, in clean/infect mode with Green Solution, spraying a Corrupt Desert will cleanse it into a normal Desert. In replace mode, the Green Solution would convert the Corrupt Desert into a Purity Forest. In clean/infect mode, Purple Solution would infect a normal Desert into a Corrupt Desert, but in replace mode, the Purple Solution would convert the normal Desert into a Corrupt Forest.
This all may seem complicated, but to sum it up: These changes and new additions will convert biomes to their respective biome, transforming dirt, mud, and snow if needed, along with liquid conversion, addition, or removal.
I hope this was clear enough. What do you think?
