It still seems more like a night-oriented boss rather than the Caverns.
Then do as you may then

I'm running Intel Pentium G3258 3.2ghz with 8GB of RAM, and NVidia 750 ti GPU.What CPU do you have, how much ram do you have, and what GPU do you have? All of these would be useful to know to help you a bit better maybe.
Yeah, the CPU seems like the most likely reason it's slow. However, toward the base game thing... This mod is one of the biggest Terraria mods, it shouldn't be super surprising if it tanks FPS, especially for a low-mid end machine. That's just something that happens with just about all big mods for just about all games, if not all, and there's not enough the mod creator can do about it, because to optimize the code of over a 1,000 items would take a while, and even then part of it is also because of tModLoader I'd assume.I'm running Intel Pentium G3258 3.2ghz with 8GB of RAM, and NVidia 750 ti GPU.
The Processor is failing, and is going to be replaced soon, but as I said. Not even base Terraria on decent graphics with backgrounds, particle + storm effects, and other related things on caused THIS much lag.

How do you update Thorium if your terraria is 1.3.5.3, cuz it de graded my terraria to 1.3.4.4
Well hello there, and welcome to the third installment of the Thorium Mod, with magnificent sprites by our very own BrutalLama, Durrani19 and Exodus Starlit! The Thorium Mod is a content pack that adds a massive variety of items, weapons, armor, NPC's and even Bosses to the vast world of Terraria! With a new modding api comes various changes and tweaks from previous versions. Have no fear though, as all of these changes are for the better! With all this in mind, I hope to make the modding community happy!

- Warnings
The following should not be active while playing the Thorium Mod:
Steam Cloud Saves: Cloud saves break mod generated ore and the Aquatic Depths. If cloud saves are active and you generate a world/load a world, you will lose ALL modded tiles in the world. This loss is irrecoverable; Don't let it happen to you!
Boss Expertise: Boss expertise is a great mod offering the ability to fight expert-leveled bosses in normal mode. Unfortunately however, the mod conflicts heavily with the Fallen Beholder, Abyssion, Lich, and Ragnarok boss encounters. Therefore, it is advised you do not use the mod with Thorium. (or at the least, with those four boss fights)

That is... Quite sad. I wish it could have been optimized so that people with stock or low-mid end machines could actually play it.Yeah it seems that modded Terraria just pushes your computer of the edge. You're probably going to have to upgrade your CPU to play it (I highly recommend it, this mod and Calamity are ing fantastic).
It's in the upcoming bugfixes, so not in the mod yet.Currently running into a bug (saw it was addressed as "Fixed?") where modifiers that should grant weapons additional speed do not do so. Since it's already been addressed and labeled as fixed, I thought it was kinda odd to still be experiencing it. I'm using the latest version of Thorium.
Ah, cool. Thanks! I just noticed it was only happening to my ranged weapons. Kinda sucks with the speed bonuses of the Minishark not getting added in on an expert playthrough. But, if it's in the upcoming bugfixes, then I'm not worried. It's in the upcoming bugfixes, so not in the mod yet.
Man, looking at the various things, Summoner could REALLY use some love.
When compared to the Vanilla armors, Thorium Summoner armor only give you additional survivability, or mix with another style. So far I'm finding myself using the vanilla armors over the mod armors, just due to raw dps potential.
Also, the prehistoric amber staff dino summons need to be fixed. They get stuck in doorways, and keep locking onto one target when there are others around.
Also, any plans to "fix" the summon weapons so that they can target like the vanillas?
Oh, I agree with you here, my friend.
If I go Summoner, I would stick with Tremor's Living Wood Armor, and Thorium doesn't have anything in comparison early game, let alone hardmode.
I would also love to see more Thorium Summons. Things like Dragons, Mini-Dukes, heck - Kut-Ku summons if possible.
They were on-topic for the most part -- no need for the scolding.
Although I agree additional summoner content across the board (especially earlier-on in progression) would be great thing to see in Thorium.
Gyus you can craft Silk Hat that gives you +1 minniom, why only one? Because balance is a thing.
