5 times is an exaggeration, but I'm pretty sure my voice is deeper in person. I think. I think I can trust myself when it comes to that.

That's not just Vocaroo, that happens with all recordings when you compare it to how your voice sounds to you. Everyone else hears your voice like they do on the recording. Basically your skull is to blame.
