Casual Unpopular Opinion Thread

I get that the pillars can be annoying but I really like how they were designed as a kind of final test of your strengths as a player. Really the only issue with them for me is the way the pillar gear avoids the variety the previous segment of the game gives the player. I feel like maybe there should be something mandatory in between golem and the cultist but maybe that’s also an unpopular opinion idk.

The problem with post-plantera is that there’s so much you can do, but little time until you have the pillars and obtain objectively better weapons. You could;
Fight the golem then go straight to the Cultist
Explore the Dungeon (part 2)
Solar Eclipse
Martian Madness
Frost Moon
Pumpkin Moon
Empress of Light
OOA Tier 3
Duke Fishron is now more tolerable to fight
The weapons you could obtain may be quickly outclassed depending on when you fight the cultist. So for some people, it‘s like wondering what’s the point of doing any of that when you can fight the cultist and get pillar gear? It’s not that I disagree with having something mandatory between golem and cultist, I just don’t think it’ll fix this issue.
