The angler should have quotes related to duke fishron because he is a master fisher guy. Like he could have one of you have a truffle worm in your inventory he should ask you to film you fishing with that of something.

I agree, I even made a discussion on my status some weeks ago about this, reactions for the town NPCs to when you defeat certain bosses or events, and Angler's reaction to Duke Fishron was one of my prime examples.
