Texture Pack Can I use textures from unreleased game versions?

I got a request to make a resource pack with the unreleased beta Terraria NPC sprites. Is that something I'm allowed to do? I read the guidelines and they don't seem to have a part about that (maybe I'm reading it wrong? IDK)
