How many of you didn’t use potions when you beat the game?

Just curious, well I mean mana and health potions don’t count as this, but I never used any potions when fighting bosses or whatever, but now... I’m trying to use them more just because I like potions now... I just didn’t know back then you could craft potions, yeah I know stupid, but still with my powerful character on my ps4 I still don’t use potions to this day.
Also off topic from what I said, but is it just me or when you bring a powerful character from a normal world(well because I created the world in 1.2) to a expert world, everything is harder than when you start a character in a expert world and everything is a lot less hard just because that character was specifically made for expert mode...

well...

i don't bother crafting buff potions. i had lots of trouble beating moon lord (mainly cuz i'm bad and my "strategy" backfired) and then i tried some buff potions (ironskin, endurance, lifeforce and regeneration) and made sure to talk to the nurse a lot and won.

the only thing that bothers me bringing a good character to an expert world is how much damage dart traps do. i haven't tripped any boulders or explosives yet...

I mean I’ve never thought of using potions till I came back to watching chippy, then I discovered the magic of how good they are... but I still don’t bother with making them on my main world and character just because of how dis organized everything is yikes!

the first time i played i didnt use them, but i craft all of the useful potions for me now, because dont expect to get through expert without potions. Swiftness makes it easier to dodge, Ironskin Endurance and Lifeforce make it harder to die, well fed and regeneration are YES.
Also, expert is much easier with a pre-existing character, but i dont recommend it because it ruins the fun of the challenge. I think its pretty obvious, for example, Why would it be harder to start with a night's edge???

Well what i was meaning on the last part is, I just wanted some expert items, and what I was saying more of The late game bosses are harder just because of expert, if I were to say fight expert I would say start a new character... same with master mode. It would be harder still because... well bosses have more health and your used to the amount of health on normal...

well now i have no idea what you mean. Do you think that the boss is gonna be harder on normal mode with expert accessories? Because it wont, but i have no idea what you even mean anymore

..... let’s forget I ever said anything

In my early days, I didn't use potions aside from Healing and Mana. Even when Expert Mode came out, I beat a majority of bosses without using buff potions. Ultimately I had to use buff potions to defeat things like Duke Fishron and Plantera in Expert Mode, and Moon Lord in both Normal and Expert.

When Master Mode came out, I've had to adapt to using buff potions for every boss. In Normal Mode I can go without potions, but not on the higher difficulties.

I don't generally use many potions while playing. I was always one of those people that wanted to do everything without a buff, lest I see myself as being weak and unskilled.

However, there's a rather massive part of my internal thought-process that thinks "Wait, the buff I get from this potion is tiny. Why even bother with it?" Like how an Ironskin potion only grants 8 defense. That seems rather paltry in the grand scheme of things. It may make a big difference early on, but around mid-game, not nearly so much.

I do enjoy the usage of Spelunker and Hunter potions though. (Sometimes Dangersense.) Hunter Potions are AMAZING for resource-hunting or for spotting that bound Goblin or Wizard before enemies kill them. (Also because the Rare lifeform detector is completely useless in actually locating them once you see they're nearby.)

I was pretty much the same, except the fact I don’t think I ever really used potions on mobile 1.2 as I do in 1.3, and in general

I never remember or bother to get potions.

Yeah I was super into potions in the sense of "oh hey, just got potion x, better store it for when I need it!!" aaaaand never use any, lol.

so am i the only one who uses potions for the early prehardmode bosses?
