If i were a boss i'd be a giant mothership type flying organism which would release corruption pods spreading corruption/crimson and releasing worm type enemies
upon defeating me you'd receive
1-5 Advanced Organism Flesh (Used for different potions and some crafting)
15-90 of either Vertebrae OR Rotten chunks (Depending on which type of corruption the world had)
7-9 Gold coins
19-23 Fleshy blocks (They slow your fall when falling through them and when you stand atop them you slightly sink in getting a small debuff with a minor slow while you stay within the blocks)
upon defeating me you'd receive
