man I wish terraria was real
like imagine how fun it would be to have to defend your home from slimes, bosses, and potentially even a solar eclipse using a banana as a boomerang

Not to mention random people just moving into your house
"Now that we know each other, I can move in with you, right?"

You’d also be immortal. Unless you’re on Hardcore. Then you are cursed to roam around as a ghost for all of eternity.

For me it would be somewhat terrifying, knowing so much about the world I live in would be pretty boring, since there is so little left to be learned... I'd still take it to see how heavy the Zenith is, I imagine it either has no weight at all, or feels super heavy but you can somehow carry it easily still.

Where would the world spawn be? Also infinite money glitches be going brrrrrr

Probably no weight as I consider it to be the blade of an Almighty Celestial being

It would probably need everyone to adjust quick as they get jumped by a slime first thing in the morning, especially if they need to cycle to school/work

luckily, I get to start off with an amethyst staff (there's one in my room) and two yo-yo's (I've had one for years, and got a new one today), as well as a yo-yo glove (I have two of them now)

Well, it depends on what Terraria "becoming real" means. If it overlapped with the current world, changing everything to be as it is in Terraria, that would certainly be concerning. Instead, I imagine it would either add some Terraria stuff and game aspects to real life in an adapted form to make sense in 3d, or it would make Terraria exist as a separate but accessible realm. The former would be cooler, but also much more dangerous (even if it's just items, there are some crazy weaponry and tools in Terraria). The latter would be neat, but I'm not sure how the whole 2d thing would work out; maybe it'd be a unique 3d world based off Terraria? That sounds like it would be best. I suppose I'm overthinking all this, but "Terraria being real" is a pretty vague concept to try to wrap my head around as just one particular thing, so describing possible specifics lets me explore different consequences they each might bring, positive and negative.

Anyways, I'd love to be able to ride the giant bunny mount summoned by the Fuzzy Carrot.

I have a Classy Cane. It’s actually a bar from a fence that got repaired, but I imagine it would become a Classy Cane.

If Terraria was added to IRL as is, it would be annihilated upon contact with 3D objects; being 2D, it has no depth, and therefore it also has no mass.
Anything with mass or energy would immediately destroy anything from Terraria that it touches.
If it became 3D, it would probably require a big nerf though; Mappy Railguns can achieve superoptic speeds, which is literally impossible in the physics of this universe.

A) Terraria has some depth, as proven by background objects
B) there are things irl recognized as 2d. These things are single atom thick sheets if material, usually glass or Graphene, and despite having a physical thickness, they are considered 2d

Feels like the Dart guns would be toys, so there would be plenty of people with those.

me after firing the dart rifle after mistaking it for a fake gun at my sibling, having to make her shut up so mom wont be mad (she's got the cursed flame debuff)

A) Layered 2D is still 2D. They may be in different layers, but since Terraria is 2D, there's technically no distance between the layers. It's kind of like the difference between Living Fire Blocks and regular blocks. They're both in the foreground, but Living Fire Blocks can occupy the same space as players, projectiles, and NPCs that normally collide with blocks.
B)They may be considered 2D for some purposes, but since atoms are 3D due to the nature of electron orbitals, those things are technically 3-dimensional. Their depth may be absurdly small, but it's not nonexistent.

Also, since there is no speed cap for Inner Tube, that means there is no universal speed cap in Terraria.
But according to Einstein's theory of special relativity, nothing with mass can travel at or above the speed of light.
However, 2D objects have no mass due to having no depth, so 2D objects can go faster than light. If Terraria was 3D, superoptic speeds would be impossible. Since superoptic speeds are possible, Terraria clearly isn't 3D.

Has anyone done that?

Has anyone done that?
No, but it's definitely possible.
The fastest speed ever achieved in Terraria is in the 6 digits of mph, while the speed of light is 9 digits long.
However, the world record was done on a large world, and Terraria worlds are technically capable of being much taller than a large world, through use of world editors. And there is no limit to how fast the inner tube can go, so superoptic speeds are theoretically possible in Terraria.
One might argue that such a tall machine might not be possible in-game, because of world file size limits, but my counter-argument to that is this mod. The developer of this mod hasn't finished making it yet, but it clearly has a lot of potential, and once it's finished, it'll be possible to build a superoptic Mappy Railgun in a world that hasn't been tEdited.

Anyone had ever read Out of Placers?
