Terraria Enters its Teens!

This is Really Nice for players who wants to experience 1.1 version Terraria Again and for people who didn't played this old version!
who loves Corrupturs to infect your world again! >

That's a lovely addition. The only problem is that it introduces hardmode heh, but still, new older version of the game playable.

Happy 13th, Terraria! This game's gone so far since I first installed and it's gotten the praise it truly deserves. Here's to more healthy years for my favourite game!

Happy Anniversary!!!
Terraria is finally old enough to join the forums!

Terraria 1.1 was the very first version I've played, and it only lasted for a month until 1.2 hits. I still hold some nice memories from it.

Terraria as whole and it's community has been a wild ride for me, I've always loved coming back to the game again whenever an update hits.
Now it's been a decade later, and I've experienced a lot. Done a lot of playthroughs, challenges, builds, experiments and researchs. And it's great to see the game still growing to this day!

i've said this before and i'll say it again:
~ We are in the flowing sands of time, we are caught into the storm, into the eye! ~

it's been a while... i still remember playing all the way back in like 2014... good times indeed : )

1.1.2 was when I got started in Terraria. I accidentally joined a really good community server that ran a TShock client because I wanted to trade single player items with my friend, and I liked the free items it offered when we showed up there, because I could build with them endlessly. It a boon in Terraria before Journey Mode became a thing much later on.

I remember I was on that server's IRC one day when people started talking about how Red came back and announced a 1.2 update. We all knew the game was dead prior to that and were happy with what we got in 1.1.2, so to have Red go and announce he was gonna start working on the game again made us all super excited. This happened some time after the Console Edition of 1.1.2 became a thing and had all that weird extra content that didn't fit the game.

My first death in Terraria was actually due to a feature nobody mentioned: In 1.1.2, the Dungeon Guardian treated all natural backwalls as Dungeon walls for the purposes of spawning. I got killed by one in a Corruption chasm that ran a little too close to the Dungeon.

Anyway...
Too late to explore the new world.
Too early to explore space.
Born at the right time to play Terraria.

Since I've started playing Terraria on Xbox with my brother back in 2014, and those wonderful memories have given and will be my all time favorite game. Thank you for all the wonderful memories! I guess I'll need to hop on in and celebrate it's birthday.
Happy 13th Birthday, Terraria! <3

Happy birthday to this little gem that managed to change the course of my life.
First time heard about it in 2012, checking it finnally out in 2014. Sure its weird to feel it was a love at the first sight. Decade later, i do not regret spending these thousands of hours interacting building, creating media outside of this game and being part of this weird community. Xoxo fellas.

"If we ever get a version 1.2 in a year or so, it would be nice if we had a Bees Kingdom to explore. Also, an Ant version somewhere else, too! Ants need some major love, too! It is Terraria, after all. And Terraria is just a few letters off from being spelt Terrarium!" - Kind of a lost suggestion I did back then. Memories... We at least got the bees and even spiders, but indeed, still no Ant friends that could even build by themselves! Imagine if they were mob ones that start deconstructing your stuff built only within their main biome, and rebuilt it somewhere else within, or did whatever with it and made more tunnels and walls by using your own blocks as materials for expansion. If their "hills" were a maze, they would be ever changing like that.

But yeah! Happy Birthday! This update was really cool back when I played it year one. The path to each update has been such a great Journey, that the true future final update should just be called "Beyond Journey's End" (if you know what I mean).

Terraria 1.1?! This is loads better than the Minecraft anniversary crap! All we got for that was advertisements you can put on your skin...

"GO PLAY [[Minecrap]] OR SOMETHING"
Yes he did say that
He wanted you to play a bad game so he can play Terraria before [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]]
