The Last Post Wins!

Hey, having extra options is not a bad thing!
The more content in a game, the better, I say.
And that's regardless of the game's quality.
To a point, yes. I have seen complaints about having to scroll past hundreds of items when crafting to find ðe þing you want to make just because you're carrying wood and iron.

That's true, which is why games require an easy search system like some already existing terraria mods.
What I've found to be useful is to have a recipe unlock system similar to how the Minecraft recipe book works. The items are still craftable if you have the necessary requirements, but you aren't given the direct recipe for them. This only really works well for sandboxes that push the player to explore. I'd implement a crafting leveling system that's more tied with this unlock system than to crafting tables like Terraria is.

Oops. Tangent moment >w>

C# is extremely pissy because the logic gate "elif" must be be fully written as "else if" for it to work.

I've never heard of "elif" but i can see why ðat would be irritating. I'm reminded of when i started playing MUDs after trying IF games and finding ðat some common command abbreviations just don't work, like "x" for "examine".

To be quite fair, it's also like that in Java.

All my coding experience is in JSON, XKB, and Inform 7 so ðis conversation may be moving where i can't follow.

I've used it multiple times in python back when I was making VERY simple projects, so it's habit for me and it's really annoying that C# doesn't like it.

Yeah, I know.

I've done Python, C#, Javascript, HTML, CSS, a tiny bit of basic, and a lot of different drag an drop programs.

A big bug keeps trying to fly into my window þrough ðe screen. I don't want to close it because it's a nice night and my room is too hot, but i also don't want ðe bug to keep trying to fly in.

Spray flyspray through the screen.
Or go outside and kill it / renove it.

It already stopped. Now i'm trying to decide wheðer or not to add gendered pronouns to a conlang i'm working on. It doesn't have gendered nouns so ðat would make it a little weird if it did have gendered pronouns. And i don't want to add a noun class system wiþ gender. Ðat would double or triple ðe work involved and i don't want ðat.

Just use "they/them", then.

I know i can have gender neutral personal pronouns (but i'm not making mine ðe same as ðe plural pronouns). I'm deciding if i want to also have equivalents to "he" and "she".

Gendered nouns in languages are a waste of time, in my opinion.
Pronouns still make sense, anyway. It's quite often useful to use them when you're talking about specific people.

True, but ðat runs into what linguists call ðe gay fanfiction problem, in which a pronoun becomes ambiguous once it's used multiple times in a sentence. In "He said that he ate all the cake.", it could be "He(1) said that he(2) ate all the cake." or "He(1) said that he(1) ate all the cake.) It's not clear if you're referring to one person or two, and it only gets worse wiþ more people in ðe sentence. I'm trying to make a 3rd person pronoun ðat can be recursed infinitely to refer to as many different people as necessary, but i'm still pretty new to ðis so i'm trying to make sure i know what i'm doing.

Luckily, you can just use a name in place of one or more of the pronouns.

Funny error in C# made a line say "Type START [or variable] to start." "Game [variable]ed, please type a character name:"
Which meant that I could do some funny stuff like
"Game exploded, please type a character name:"
It's fixed now.

It's almost half an hour past when i usually try to be in bed so i might have to wait and finish working on ðis tomorrow. I þink i'll have a repeatable prefix just for ðis pronoun, as well as a way to clarify ðem if ðey get too ambiguous.

On anoðer note, i just figured out ðe reason /d/ sounds like [nd] (along wiþ /g/ [ŋg] and /b/ [mb]) is ðat to voice a stop and not just whatever vowel is after it, i have to already be making a voiced sound. /n/, /ŋ/, and /m/ are ðe closest non-stop sounds to /d/, /g/, and /b/, so ðat's what gets voiced in preparation for ðe stop. I've noticed ðat ðis happens before but i never had any idea why.

Anyway, goodnight. It's been fun.

Wait, actually, my language already distinguishes 4 different classes. Nominative, genitive, dative, and accusative might be enough wiþout needing ðis recursive pronoun. I'll have a look at how Latin does it since ðat's what's inspiring a lot of ðis grammar.

No, i made up an example sentence and found ðat ðe 3 relevant classes weren't enough. So i added a recursable nþ person pronoun. I have a way to mark which of ðese recursive pronouns applies to which noun but i might develop a more elegant one at some point.

And now i'm going to bed. And ðis time, i mean it.

Plans for today include drawing Algar (to finally do something about that "Coming Soon" statement in his description), and hopefully remembering to tell my mom about me wanting a good cooling pad for my laptop.

Just handling the big RJITU battle on my end meanwhile.

Then gonna see about getting Switch Online tonight so I can join Orcha and possibly Shovel in some Risk of Rain 2 gaming.

Aurora I apparently flanderised her "weird" soft spot for Helanne too much in Solitarus, while Exca I kiinda accidentally had her ask several kinda dumb questions in a row. Including asking the same character their name twice in the same conversation.
I can't even tell if it's because I'm getting insufficient sleep or what. Anxiety certainly doesn't help with worries like that lmao.

Well considering I frequently have seen you up at 2 in the morning your timezone, I would not be surprised.
That's why I keep my phone out of reach and generally have a rule of only giving up if I can see it's 4AM or if there's an obvious problem preventing my sleep (mosquitoes), or if there's a major event on a site that I don't want to miss (this is rare)
