Okay so here's my current Rooted Corruption notes, I might add some more stuff before adding it to Limbo but this covers most of what I have for it
[Known Cures are: Radiant Magic, specialized weaponry with specific properties (Notably Kari’s staff). Falchion’s Water magic can also cure it, but it’s situational due to this property being exclusive to him. I’m pretty sure I had the idea of Silva (Small wolf based on one of my plushies) having a Quality that gave his (weak) Ice magic the same property.
To be specific, weapons need a special material to have purifying abilities. This material is quite rare and if found is usually taken to a weaponsmith in Rainzen to be made into a strong weapon.
Temporary Cures: ??? (Basic Light Magic, Crystallized Light Magic and Mirage Magic would all make sense in this category. Radiant shouldn’t just suddenly be able to destroy Rooted Corruption when Mirage Magic (The upgrade directly before Radiant) couldn’t do that. Clentaminator should logically only work with Blue Solution, considering Hallow is, and I quote the official lore, “an overcompensation of purity”. Green Solution would be too weak to even have an effect, and Blue would only work temporarily. Same deal with Holy Water, by the way. Fairy-type Pokémon moves also go here now.)
Spreads on contact with projectiles created by an already corrupted being (Aside from ones that cover a large area at once, like spore fields), but can corrupt in other ways too.
Those ways are, among others, using spikes made of pure corrupted energy (These don’t harm the target unless they’re immune, in which case they hurt.), pellets (also made of pure corrupted energy), and others.
Can take more direct control of a corrupted person’s mind, though it isn’t done often unless that person is being far too stubborn with resisting. Doing this also leaves a residual effect of sorts on the person’s mind once they’re cured, making them more aggressive for some time and possibly making them easier to corrupt again.]

Answer: It’s a mix of both; there is one main hivemind, but each corrupted being also has their own thoughts and can communicate with the original person’s mind.]
[Corrupted areas are easy to recognize because of the near-complete darkness covering everything in those areas. It almost looks like a lighting bug from Minecraft, in fact.]
