The fact that you can paint candy cane blocks

I played this game for three or four years before realizing that you could kick NPCs out of houses by simply right-clicking.

Never knew etherian mana could be placed in item frames.
Interacting again will make it disappear but this won't happen during another old ones army.
So essentially you can save up the mana and claim it sometime to have a lot more mana than you're supposed to, hence a ridiculous amount of sentries

Recently found out that the gingerbread man enemy gets a sad face on his face when you kill him. Poor guy.

I was inspired to make this thread when I was looking through the wiki and I saw... A desert minecart? I have literally never even heard of this or so much as seen it once briefly, but yep, apparently it's real.

(Honourable mention to the bone sword dropped by skeletons, but I found out about that before I joined the forums. And reading the wiki about it, I found there's a bone pickaxe dropped by undead miners! Oh, Terraria's maze of content! )

Anyway, what's something you just found out existed in Terraria? It has an enormous amount of content; I'm interested to see what everyone says.

I actually found out about that for easily making a really, really big artificial ocean in pre-hardmode for a build that probably didn't need an ocean anywhere near as big.

Yeah, I found those in crates whilst lava-fishing for the superheated blood for the lava shark mentioned earlier, but I don't think I would've ever found about them other wise.

that blue and teal glowing flower thing that spawns on the edges of worlds and serves as a pet item for spawns some random goober
no joke, i genuinely thought it was a graphical error when i first saw it

Now that you mention it, I only found the upgraded dart traps when I was researching lihzahrd traps fairly recently - it is quite an obscure item.

No, I meant the dart trap, which can be crafted from spider fangs and a regular dart trap.
