I mean yeah the two games belong to the same genre but appeal to a different audience; I'm a guy who enjoys going ludicrously fast and mashing buttons like crazy, so F-Zero is a natural pick for me over the slower and more casual-oriented Mario Kart (don't even mention how much of a banger almost all of the songs in the entire F0 series are)
