Terrarian
A lot has changed since the 1.4.5.001, and after replaying it, I'm not sure it's for the better.
The spamming in regards to "speed increase" is too much. Seeing videos from August 2020 seems like a completely different game. A lot of bosses just outrun you, and I really mean it, outrun you, to the point The Twins were x20 times harder than the other mechanical bosses and plantera, because the one that spits lasers can keep with you even if you are spamming dash and running in the same direction. The tracking, also, is a bit too much, most of the worm bosses have infernal tracking and can bite you even if you are running as far as you possibly can at that point in the game, even if you drop down or fly + horizontal dash, their mouth (fe, astrum deus) almost touch you, or even touch you, specially when there are two of them. A lot of debuffs, added, increments in speed, lasers, charges with +20 the speed they had in earlier versions, etcetera (this is all in Death Mode).
For example, the fight with Providence has some cheap things. We are talking about a boss that deals tons of dmg in Death Mode and spams a lot of garbage in the floor. Ok. Why would you put me in blackout just for being a little too far from it? Hm? Isn't Terraria about moving? So, I'm playing against with no arena because the proyectiles themselves are easy, so the boss fly at full speed to the left, and at that moment, in moving to the right because that way i can evade some proyectiles. The game registers i'm a little bit too far from the boss, so it puts me in pitch black at the boss does the -200 orbs attack. ¿? This is just 1 example of many, many other extreme decisions just to avoid the player from being "too far". But not all the characters are ranger. Nerf the ranger if its too much, dont add x50000 speed-when-offscreen to the bosses, invulnerability or pitch black mechanics if it just happens that your melee warrior gets a little bit far from a boss whos spamming garbo every 2 seconds and doing between 200 and 300 damage per hit + debuffs.
1.4.5.001 was far more enjoyable.
