The lighting for the area under blocks and above water is inconsistent, doesn't happen with platforms but happens with grey brick and other solid blocks.
Yeah, I’m not sure I see the issue. I agree with Xavier that the lighting in the bottom image is different because of no backwalls. Is there something I’m not understanding?

Well there seem to be a issue with water having black like patches when ever there is less light and due to the new lighting engine that you guys have added in. This have cause some issue like this to happen so maybe that what he is saying about the water having dark spot area.

No backwalls are added in any of the above images, the issue is inconsistent shadowing or underneath the solid blocks. Below the grey brick there is no backwall.
Yeah that's an issue caused by placing blocks over water & leaving a slight gap in the middle - was able to reproduce this on my test plot (problematic area is circled)
