My game run super choppy and slow?

I'm on 4 gigabytes of ram right now (old computer) but I usually use 8 gigs on my laptop it's just getting fixed right now. The issue though is present on both 4 gigs of ram and 8 gigs of ram. The game always runs super choppy. If there's like a setting I can enable to help with this I would appreciate it so much!

What are the CPU, GPU and OS on both systems?

Both Are windows 10 latest versions of windows ten too, 4 Gigabytes of RAM, not sure how to find my CPU? Is that my processer or what.

Open Task Manager, switch to the Performance tab, click on CPU, and then the name of your CPU is on the upper right. Same for the GPU (if you have a dedicated one) by scrolling down to GPU and clicking that. However Terraria does not use the GPU for a lot, so that won't matter much. Same goes for RAM, as long as you have more than maybe 3 GB.
