The Last Post Wins!

destroying planets other than earth is completely legal in most places of the world such as the USA & United Kingdom as long as debris doesn't hit earth or cause any deaths
so i'm building an army of dwellers to destroy jupiter

Alright.

*Kino almost gets boulder trap'd* I think I'll set up my bbcode tag rq
I nearly died twice just for two levels. That was worthless.

I'll use this for drawing tomorrow probably

Ðe song i'm obsessed wiþ for ðe past few days (closer to a week now) is Don't Stop Believing.

I þink i should do a series of one-shot roleplays until i find a game system i and ðe players like. Apparently a bunch of setting-independent systems exist. I'm looking into Fate now.

I'll add Daive later today, probably
But I'm adding Aden at the same time as punishment
what do you mean that's not a punishment

*Quietly yoinks an old quote so I can start on a text wall*

...*Sighs*
I'm just gonna be honest here, this might become a bit of a text wall but I just want to get this out here
Lately I've honestly felt like my character designs have all been meh at best and there's not much to make each unique at a quick glance if you don't actually know anything about them
and I have a similar problem with my personalities, in this case both in terms of describing them and in terms of executing them well, the describing part is mostly a result of me not knowing a lot of English words and usually being too lazy to check wiktionary to make sure I'm using words correctly, and the execution thing is something I don't know the cause of
I'm also not and have never been the type to remove things once I decide to stick with them, it's why I've only removed one OC from my list, ever
it was a tough choice to remove Coop even, I just had no idea what to do with him and I decided it'd be for the better if I just removed him
and while there are other OCs like that still in my list (Neo, Lucin, Mono, Sky and Lee are my first examples), I just can't bring myself to remove them because every time I consider it even slightly another part of me goes "but we can work on those guys later"
and then "later" never comes and the cycle repeats
and I have been trying to come up with more unique designs (Desire is my first anthro dragon for example), I often end up not getting many ideas for those characters and scrap them before adding them to my list
I probably have some super old concepts floating around somewhere back in my posts from 2020 idk, but I refuse to even try and look around through those posts because they're mostly just examples of me having no idea what the :red: I'm doing
anyway back to the character design thing
they've just all felt really similar for some reason even when they're not
and I don't know what to do about it, same with the personalities, it just feels similar even when that's not the case, simply because I'm limited with what words I can actually use, and I don't have time to fix that and I won't have that time until who knows when
I'm quoting this one as it also plays a role here. However, my current main situation involves my struggles with worldbuilding.
(For the quote it's mostly involving the personalities; I've been feeling better about my character designs and a lot of the old ones have been improved as well to stand out more.)
(Also, Neo got development since that post. The others are still waiting on that treatment, though.)

I often feel really bad about my lack of proper worldbuilding when I see some of the descriptions you guys post character descriptions that are absolutely huge and come with a free lore dump as well. I try to worldbuild but I find it hard to focus on it for long, especially when it comes to culture and similar things. Same with world maps, I would make them but I don't know where to start most of the time. My old map for Floralis will need to be fully redone at some point, and other high-priority maps are the ones for Alghan and the Fading Kingdom, as those will be needed when I make the Hopeful World games, and possibly one for Malvine so I have a reference for the animated series. (Malvine isn't as important because if needed I could just generate a large world with the right mods (...after backporting Floralis Mod to 1.3 for the reason of "old calamity needed", that's gonna be a fun project /s) and use that as a reference point)
The closest I have for culture things are the tradition Arcana have (befriending wisps when they turn 10), Nature Guardians, and a single tradition in a single village in Floralis. That's it right now for actual culture, at least from memory. You guys seem to have so much more than I do, and that just makes me feel bad for some reason.
I'm much better with magic systems, but even there I've been struggling to develop some. I've kept most of my recent focus on Floralis and Abronia, while the rest need development too. The only one I can really call finished right now is Antel's system, and that's because it's a simple system with a lot of freedom built into it. Even then, I still feel I could develop the system more at a later point... once I have motivation to go anywhere near Antel again, that is.
Some of you also have entire organizations worked out and then I'm here with Golden Echo being reasonably fleshed out, Sorrow, [unnamed] and Voidsky just kind of... existing, the PMO being between "reasonably developed" and "...existing", Embers barely mattering to any lore except Aran's past, and if we can even consider it one, Duskfall being pretty developed. (Duskfall is not really an "organization" in my eyes though. It's literally four characters.) And also Team Nebula but they aren't important yet. (And I'm not really willing to count the Lifelight Guild at the moment.)
In short, it all just kind of piles up and makes me feel bad about not being very good at important worldbuilding things. Really, the most developed world in general is starting to become Abronia at this point; a world I made for a Terraria run while suffering from German Internet Connection (which was pain), and which my ADHD decided needed lore. You have no idea how embarrassing it is to have to say a world intended to be minor is starting to take the title of "most developed" from the world that has been in development for an entire DECADE. It does not help my mood in any way.

And me being about to spend 30 euros catching up in Sky (and possibly another 12 to 18 next month because I really don't want to miss this season) certainly isn't helping me feel better either.

That's a lot of text that I'm sadly too busy to read rn.
