Magma ore can be broken with bombs, Pick is on same tier as Nightmare pick, So before beating ANY bosses, you can get really good armor/pick.

Well, about this - You can also get the reaver shark before any boss, and mine Hellstone before any boss. Not saying it shouldn't perhaps change, just saying that you can already do that to a different extent.

Probably cant change it because its a donater item, but if you fly, shoot slugger backwards so it sends you in the direction your flying in, you go sanic fast. Like, 500 blocks a second fast, you just need to keep shooting it in the opposite direction you are flying in.

For the slugger, it's actually not a donator item but that effect IS on purpose.
I can make that change to magma ore though, only because demonite cannot be bombed either.

oh, well, i didnt know it was intentional. i knew the recoil was intentional but i didnt know if it the backwards velocity stacking as you spam it was.

Yep, its kinda silly and easily exploitable, but I thought it was neat enough to keep. Its not like its that useful anyway.

If your talking about the slugger itself, then you are kinda wrong, it carried me through expert dungeon once i could get it.

If your talking about the exploit, it is BY A LANDSLIDE the best way to travel quickly.

Slugger really is OP af though. Best mobility item, and it's a very good weapon for where it is. Like a phoenix blaster with twice the DPS and kinda a pain in the to use.
