Official Terrarian
Hi,
I have a good personage on my Pc and I want to copy it on my android phone. I don't have Pc-only content on this save. Please help me !

I highly doubt the Android Terraria version is the same as the pc version. Files will undoubtly be different, the way characters and worlds are saved will most likely be different.
Also, the pc is at a higher version, so even when ignoring the above, your save files won't be compatible.

In short: What you're trying to do is simply not possible.

It's still not possible. Everything is coded differently, and things that your character has on PC (even if you don't specifically have "PC-only items") are non-existent or completely modified in the mobile versions.

Theoretically, we could have a third-party tool that reads the PC file and creates a mobile file as closely as possible... but such a thing does not exist, and since no one (other than devs) that I've seen has access to the mobile source code (505Games has already said they won't give it out, even for productive purposes such as Wiki completeness), it's not going to be created unless 505Games wishes to do so themselves (which is very unlikely, for many reasons).

but i want my terraria 3ds save at my android, as they both are outdated in comparison to the pc version, i dont think it would be compatible, mostly because of the item ids and that things being different, even tough that, as im a programmer and have readed the terraria "system" files not accesible in a normal way (example: a non rooted android or non jailbreak iphone cannot acces em) just for curiosity, in something like inverse-engineery i have a little (in comparison with the creators) knowledge of how the game works, i think all of us know transferring a save has nothing to do with the source code as the player saves are .player, .plr or something that way files depending on the device located on the folder where the game files are, so i would just need a file explorer in order to do that, and as i have a homebrew'd 3ds i think it is easy (easy to get the saves but idk it they are compatible i had not tried), dont take it wrong my terraria 3ds is original and legally bought, but i like emulators and that things, in other words i wanna know if they are compatible if i rename the save files... can you reply please?
[doublepost=1506471532,1506471404][/doublepost]guess what it looks like my save file is saved in 3ds as .p file... maybe if i... i will make a backup first to avoid corruption of save files, cross your fingers XD

Posting information about modifying or sharing save files from Console (3DS) or mobile is not permitted on this forum.

https://forums.terraria.org/index.p...olicy-regarding-console-mobile-hacking.35819/

You can do what you wish with your own devices, but please do not share it here. Thanks.

as i have a homebrew'd 3ds
We also do not allow discussion of homebrew for Nintendo devices here.

actually im not modifying or sharing anything, im just porting it, sorry if it was wrong that was not intended to infringe any of the rules sorry if it did

On a side note, I think it's kind of a miracle that Terraria even works on mobile ...

On my PC, with a i7-7700 (non-K), CPU1 is maxed out at 100% almost constantly when playing Terraria. This game is crazy CPU hungry - at least single thread performance hungry - but that is to be expected, it's a simulation-heavy game after all.

I wish staff could change the name of threads when there's a typo. My OCD is on Expert Mode Hardcore right now. I also wish the game had developer item staves with their heads on them.

Done, though we generally don't do that unless the author requests it.

If grammar/spelling annoy you that much, then the Internet in general is not a good place for you. Also remember that many members are not native English speakers.
