Good day, Terrarians!

Spring has finally sprung (well at least in the half of the globe), and we are here to let everyone know of a few things coming very soon to the Terraria Mobile platform. First, the Easter content will once again be available (or available for the first time for our newer Terrarians ;) ). You can take a few minutes to check out what all this entails on the Terraria Wiki if you want.

In addition to the fun Easter content (Coming in April), what Spring would be complete without a little Spring cleaning? Well, for us that means cleaning out some nasty bugs that have been plaguing our Mobile Terrarians! We hope that these bugfixes will help make everyone's mobile experience far more enjoyable. As always, apologies for the bugs and the time needed to fix them - please keep letting us know about any that you find!

The planned release for all of this is tomorrow on Google Store, and it will be out on Amazon as soon as possible (pending approval).

Without further ado, here is your changelog for the coming update!
· Fixed crash for android 2.3 users
· Fixed issue where accessories weren’t being drawn
· Fixed rendering of jack-o-lantern
· Fixed issue where ‘hot using’ an item would use it twice instead of once
· NPC moving-in code fixed, Truffle NPC should move in quicker
· Crafting now recognizes when it should use lead or iron bars
· Crafting now recognizes correctly which type of wood it should use
· Fixed crash on suspension while in crafting screen
· Added blue & green wrenches
· Golem now has correct values for health & damage
· Ocram is a bit more difficult to fight
· Lowered mummy spawn chance in pyramid
· Hardmode spawnrate has been made slightly faster
· Holiday bauble has a chance to spawn from a cut down tree

Good afternoon Terrarians!

What a week it was in sunny San Francisco at the 2015 GDC! The Re-Logic & Engine teams are equal parts energized and exhausted after a week of meeting fans, contacts, and media as we more fully unveiled Terraria: Otherworld along with our other plans moving forward. If you haven’t already, make sure you check out our 2015 GDC Blog Thread to share in our experiences – and a few laughs – along the way.

Well, we would be remiss to not share some of that information with our broader fanbase – accompanied by the Terraria: Otherworld trailer that we had on display for 3 days last week! So, without further ado, we give you the Terraria: Otherworld 2015 GDC Trailer:



As mentioned earlier, we also wanted to share some of the additional details that the team provided to those that stopped by our booth last week. Some of this will be a repeat of our earlier announcement, and the rest will expand upon that. We have provided a few pieces of concept art in places to better illustrate and spice things up a bit as well.

Terraria: Otherworld – Overall Game Description
Set in an alternate dimension within the Terraria universe, Terraria: Otherworld places the player in a life-and-death struggle to restore a once-pristine world – now overrun by a malevolent force that has corrupted nature itself – to its original splendor. Along with a rag-tag band of survivors, will you be able to successfully harness the power of an array of weaponry, magic, defenses, and even the world itself to thwart the designs of this unseen evil?

Hello there everyone!

As we mentioned in our announcement for Terraria: Otherworld, members of the Re-Logic and Engine Software teams will be in attendance at this week's Game Developers Conference. We will be spending the bulk of our time camped out in our home away from home (Booth #2230) showcasing Terraria: Otherworld and answering questions from the media and anyone else that stops by. Hopefully, we will be able to squeeze in some "fun" as well. ;)

That said, we got to thinking that vicariously sharing our experiences in a "stream of consciousness" style blog through the week might be fun and allow our larger community a glimpse into what goes on this week - and so this thread was born.

Whenever we are able (and remember), we will share happenings from the trip here. That could be random insanity, news, spoilers, or really anything. We have no "plan" for this blog thread other than to share the experience with all of you.

This thread will stay locked and reserved for blog entries (make sure to follow this thread so you get alerts when a new entry is made!) - but you can discuss what you read from us and other media HERE.

So, stay tuned throughout the week - you never know what could happen (because we sure don't ;) ).

To continue our ongoing efforts to add community suggestions to the game we would like to start taking suggestions for achievements for the new achievement system that will be in the 1.3 PC update! A few of the areas you can think about while submitting your suggestions are; completing events, fishing, crafting, collecting, surviving, etc.

After a long search and lengthy discussion process, we are very happy to announce four new members for the forum moderation staff. Please join us in welcoming

to the team. We thank everyone who applied; while we found many worthy candidates, these four stood out at least a bit from the others for their experience, enthusiasm, and desire to help this awesome community continue grow and succeed. If any of the new folks are new to you, please stop by their profiles to congratulate them and get to know them a bit better, or offer your good wishes to them below.

"Four? I thought you were looking to add two?!" This is so - our initial goal was to add "~2", but something happened after the application process began: Terraria: Otherworld was announced, along with plans for a full site and community for that game in the future. Since we expect that some of the existing TCF staff will either split time or shift focus with the new site and community, we wanted to be sure that we had a full depth of experience available for staffing both sites without diluting either, when the time comes to do that. In other words, we are not only looking to today's needs, but the needs of the future as the Terraria family and community continues to grow.


For those who applied and were not selected this time - over 60 people applied - you have our deepest appreciation for the interest...

It has indeed been an eventful few weeks around here - with Frost Moon coming to console coupled with the exciting announcement of Terraria: Otherworld setting a tone of anticipation for everyone.

Well, allow us to add more fuel to that fire...or perhaps more to the point, a soundtrack to go with your hype. ;)



After all, no Terraria update could reach truly epic status without some brand new tunes...

A chill is certainly in the air, for today is the day that the Frost Moon rises for Console Terraria!


The update will be rolling out regionally today - so keep a careful watch for it's arrival on your system. We certainly hope that you have spent the past few weeks diligently preparing for this chilling test of your wits and skill...

The teams at Re-Logic and Engine Software would like to take a few moments to provide the entire Terraria Community with a major announcement. As we hinted earlier in our quite vague "teaser", we will be collaborating on a new project that is not Terraria 2, nor anything else that we had discussed before.

Well, the time has come to provide our first major reveal around this project. So, without further ado, we present to Terrarians everywhere the first look at...

Expanding upon the immensely popular action-sandbox title Terraria, exploring what might have been, and approaching gameplay in a new direction; Terraria: Otherworld represents a novel take on the Terraria experience.

Combining the experience of sandbox gameplay with role-playing and strategy elements, Terraria: Otherworld explores the Terraria experience in an innovative and unique way - providing a fresh approach to the “open world” genre.

Terraria: Otherworld is in development for PC & Mac platforms. We are considering PS4 and Xbox One versions, but a final decision has not been made in that regard. We have set up a "Coming Soon" page for Terraria: Otherworld...
