Good day Terrarians,
We know that our Community has been eagerly anticipating news surrounding the ongoing Terraria. 1.3 update. While we aren't ready just yet to share any of its deepest, darkest secrets, we wanted to take a few minutes to whet your appetite with a small set of enhancements we have already worked into the game!
First up, we have a tweaked Dye system coupled with a few brand new dyes, courtesy of our newest team member, Skiphs:

"The new dye changes are designed to help add a bit more color to their armor. This occurs in two ways. The first way is that I've allowed for some of the dye color to seep through on areas that were previously considered too light or dark. The second is an overall increase to saturation. As a whole, the changes are minor, and should only be noticeable in cases where the dye would feel very underwhelming before." -Skiphs

Next, we have a brand new invasion/events status bar that will allow players to track their wave-by-wave progress when tackling any of Terraria's exciting invasion/moon events. This new feature will have an interface option to disable the progress bar in the event that the player does not wish to use it.

Last, but certainly not least, is our new favorite building accessory: the Laser Ruler!

*At this point in time it is still too early to begin speculating any type of release date for this update. I do not not want to rush the team or establish an imaginary release date...
Good day Terrarians!
Re-Logic is happy to announce that the Terraria 2015 calendar is now available on Amazon! Thank you Suweeka for your amazing art!

Quick feedback: For 2016 would you like to see high res, pixelated, or both?
Greetings Terrarians!

As you know, we have been working diligently over the past 18 months to expand the World of Terraria - both in regards to the scope of the game itself as well as the platforms on which it can be played. It has been simply amazing to watch our community expand into Console and Mobile in parallel with our reinvigorated PC fans.

That said, we are extremely pleased to share the two teaser screenshots below that we hope will finally address a long-desired addition to Terraria: availability for both Mac and Linux!

Q: Will existing Windows worlds/characters be compatible with the Mac/Linux versions?
A: Absolutely! Existing Windows players should be able to copy over and utilize their existing world/character files.

Q: Will owners of the existing Windows version on Steam have to purchase the Mac/Linux versions separately?
A: Our intent is to provide the Mac/Linux versions free of charge to any existing owners of Terraria on Steam. The logistics and/or if this is possible will play out as we get closer to launch.

Q: Can players on different platforms (Windows/Mac/Linux) play together on the same server?
A: Yes indeed! Players from across the Terraria "computer-based" platforms should be able to jump in servers together for some Terraria multiplayer sessions with no issues.

Q: What version will these ports be? Is there a launch timing/date?
A: The current plan is for both of these ports to update in parallel with the original PC version. That means version 1.3 and that they will hopefully launch at the same time as the 1.3 update itself. As always, things can change and issues arise that would cause this to change - but this is the current intent/plan. We will keep you updated as we get closer and know more.

UPDATE: Based upon current status and planning, the expectations is that Mac/Linux will launch shortly after 1.3. This is to ensure the most stable Mac/Linux builds possible so that...
Good morning Terrarians!

We wanted to take a few moments to share with everyone that - for the first time ever - Terraria is included as a part of the latest Humble Bundle: the Humble Jumbo Bundle 2. This is a fantastic set of games, and we are quite excited to be included!
For those of you that might be unaware, Humble Bundles are packages of games sold online where you, the purchaser, determine the price you pay. In addition, a portion of the proceeds may go to charity (your choice).

Humble Jumbo Bundle 2 is supporting the American Red Cross as well as the Child's Play Charity.

Once you select how much you want to pay, you may then choose how you want to divide up your payment (between the devs and charity) - we would sincerely ask that you give at least some decent amount of your payment to these awesome charities.

Please note that in order to get Terraria as a part of the package, you have to choose to pay more than the most recent average amount.

This Humble Bundle will run for approximately the next two weeks, and we encourage all of our fans to check it out today - this is a great chance to pick up some fantastic games at an affordable price while possibly giving back to charity!

Thanks, as always, to you all for your continued support. We know you are hungry for news around 1.3 and the other ongoing projects/updates. We hope to be able to bring you information on those fronts in the near future.
