tModLoader Expeditions Mod - Modular Quest System

If you mean the mod itself, yes. I installed it and reloaded the mods. I can build and place the Expedition Board but there are no quests when I open it
What i mean is Expeditions mod itself is just a framework. You need to ALSO install Content Pack for this mod.
 
This really doesn't mean much. If you're talking about testing ratios, be sure to include the total number of rolls. In this case, the number of boxes opened. The way you've worded it tells us that the chance to get unreasonably powerful gear is less than 50%, but we have no way to know what the exact percentage is.

I agree. It's generally an gamble, but I found that 4 out of 5 times (Counted), I generally got a weapon, with 1 out of 3 times it was busted.
I would actually like to some Rusted/Relic Boxes that were seperated into the 5 (7 if you add Thorium and Tremor) classes - melee, range, throwing, magic, summon, radiant, and alchemy, as well as one meant for accessories.
 
If I remember correctly the boxes give random items from the entire game's item pool up to a certain tier, based on which world events are cleared (bosses and such). Generally it's more likely to prefer items near your current tier - 1 as a 1/3 chance, then tier - 2, then any item below the threshold. I do like the idea of specialised boxes though but this mod probably won't be updated for some time while I work on other stuff (rip).

I will send a screenshot later since I am not home right now ^^ It's basically just empty when I press on the board. It shows no quests/rewards. I am playing multiplayer though, so could that be the reason?

Hi, just to check does the game still run normally afterwards? The issue itself is probably due to checking for the expeditions before the list has been populated - but I'm not too sure how to recreate this to make sure that is the case. Out of curiosity was this on starting up or after reloading mods?

Hmm, multiplayer is always awkward - is it self-hosted/server-hosted, with a new/old character, in a new/old world etc.?

Hmm, it happened twice so far. Once late last night and once earlier today while I was in the middle of doing a lot of work. I honestly can't remember right now if the entire game crashed or if it just booted me to the menu (lack of sleep :D ) but I'm pretty sure it was the latter. I was in the middle of my world actually when it happened, getting items organized and getting ready to record. Both times doing that same thing.
If it happens again, I'll make sure to jot down more details.
 
So I've encountered this quest that doesn't give that much information, and it looks like the quest triggered incorrectly.

That's what the quest looks like, and I've never reached Hardmode. Is it a glitch that misread something and gave me that quest, or do you have to do something for that to work?
P.S. I don't know how I got the 22/2000 completed when I did nothing.

EDIT: Ok so it looks like I have the steampunker if you're really observant due to the teleporter, but I can assure you that I made those teleporters from the imkSushi mod.

Yeah, that's a bug. I think quest should activate in hardmode.
As for the count:
you have to not take money from the Tax Collector until it reaches said amount, then complete the quest.

Ok so I know when the quest starts. It starts really early in Prehardmode before any boss is defeated. Believe it was after the quest where you make a house.
So basically if I do reach HM, it goes by copper coins, making it... 20 silver? If it counted by silver, then it would be 20 gold, double the amount of max money the Tax Collector can hold.
Wouldn't that also make it so it would count up if you did nothing?
 
It counts in copper coins. If you take the money from tax collector before you complete the quest, you have to wait again. You cannot take money from tax collector when this quest is active. After you complete the quest you can just take the money from him.

Now I think there's something wrong with this quest, because I left my game running and nothing eventful happened while I took a nap.
 
I have a problem with completing the final "Snap!" quest. One of the books it says I need is called "Tales From the Fair Folk" yet there is no "Snap!" quest that gave me this book in the past, nor is there one that I have right now. Is there something bugged here? I'm in hardmode and my first guess would be that it's for the hallow, but all of the rest of the books are pre-hardmode so that doesn't make sense.

@DatCanMan Ah I see the bug, one of the quests gives the wrong reward... woops. I got this noted for the next time I look at this.

I think I've got the tax collector bug written down somewhere, will need to fix as well.
 
I seem to be having a problem, some times I can't click on anything in the board's menu which prevents me from completing an expedition. I was able to get it to let me click on stuff again once, but I can't seem to get it to happen again.
 
@DWizard Yeah, I've found the issue, somehow it was checking for player mana rather than player being in the underworld. Don't ask, I probably coded it half asleep at that point xD

might be some mistakes :p it looks like you copy pasted Jungle armor's quest into this one,well that happens sometimes,btw any news of when you will update the mod to 1.3.5?
