EXPERIMENTAL FEATURE: Seeds & Results

Worlds: Bera & Cera
Seed ID: Terraria
Corruption / Crimson

Terraria's newest feature of Seeds has been added, a famous thing from Minecraft that allows you to generate a world so other players can share their findings and results! This was introduced into 1.3.4.2 hofix for Terraria. It allows you to generate the same world with a specific phrase or number and the result would be that the primary world would look exactly the same on matter where you are. There are some things that must stay consistent.
  • World Size (Small, Medium, or Large)
  • Evil Biome (Corruption or Crimson)
  • Seed ID
We use an example world demonstration where Corruption and Crimson was used, but all other aspects remain the same. We call these worlds Bera and Cera!

We notice that the significant changes are the randomly generated aspects of the game that do not rely on the Seed's id. For example:
  • Trees
  • Grass
  • Mushrooms
  • Randomly Generated Articles (Sunflowers, etc)
It is because Terraria Generates these un-biased by the id of the seed, so the results will obviously be different everytime. However, the world's blocks and map generation remains the same through out! We went further and checked how it affects biomes and content. The results were pretty interesting, Chests seems to contain the same item types and values, but if a Biome was in the way, it would alter the chest existence and even the set!

If you feel like testing further and expanding this thread, go ahead. Just make sure to share the Seed ID you used.
